I expect that no matter what the attendance, the crowd will be loud and into it. I think it'll be that way for all the games. This game has so much tension, much more so than the Vancouver games. There is so much more invested in any Toronto-Montreal rivalry. I hope you guys can pack the place!

At BMO, yes expect it.

While I admit I'm a TFC fan, good luck to Montreal and Vancouver trying to score at BMO. TFC have only given up 1 goal at home this season.

As for in Montreal, I hope so! My understanding is that 200+ TFC supporters are making the trip.

I really wish I was going for this match.[V]

I appreciate your defensive record but, let's face it, these two clubs couldn't score in a brothel.

Haha, true very true.

Most TFC goals have been off set pieces.

Still, the next 2 TFC games will be a real test as to how much the club has improved.

And I'm going tonight! Whee :D

so how's the buzz in montreal about the upcoming match?

do people care to see the great french talent, Laurent Robert christen their field (maybe with a goal?? ;)

No. No one cares about Laurent Robert.

;)

And it wouldn't exactly be a christening, it's the second game.

it would be a christening, since no goals have been scored on the field.

Would be appropriate for Robert to score the first goal at Saputo. :)

Hopefully TFC can "mark its territory" at Saputo by going in the record books with the first ever goal scored by the pros at the new stadium ;)

I don't see why it would be appropriate.

A hometown Montrealer scoring the first goal would be appropriate.

I'm very excited about this match. Montreal are 6-time Voyageurs Cup champs and I hope they're highly motivated to defend their title.

It should be very interesting. There's been a lot of talk about the difference between USL-1 and MLS levels of play but this will be the first time we get to see it in Canada, and between what should be two truly motivated sides to boot.

It's a great day for Canadian soccer.

"Toronto FC coach John Carver believes this game is just as important as the league games"

I think it's awesome that John Carver is taking this seriously. I wonder if both teams will be fielding their A lineup? (minus Edu and Guavera).

Reading the replies to that story, it may indeed be a great day for Canadian soccer but sadly a new low has been put into public consumption for English teachers coast to coast.
