MrR
Why isn't the CSA a self-supporting entity? A financially self-sufficient entity generates enough revenue in exchange for its products and services to cover all of its expenses. The CSA was founded in 1912, and inexplicably 111 years later Canada's governing soccer body still has not attained that status? Why is that? MrR
Where would the CSA be financially if the CMNT had failed to qualify for Qatar? It's surprising that the CSA didn't demand a percentage gold from each of the gold medals won by the CWNT at the Olympics? If the players were allowed to keep 100% of their prize medals, then why are they not allowed to keep 100% of their prize money?
MrR
Perhaps if the CSA viewed the national team players as assets, rather than expenses, then the CSA's relationship with the players would not be what it is today!

MrR
We can dream, can't we? 4 years ago the following headline appeared in the Guardian: US Soccer has $162m in the bank. Ozzie_the_parrot
The opening post is maybe going for something a bit too profound given the target audience in an Eric Cantona sort of way: Kent
