I wasn’t able to watch all of the match, but I was quite impressed by the play of Vaughn, and really enjoyed what I did see. It was a great introduction to this newly extended format of Vs cup.

Watching it now..not to pick on him but Matt George who looks about 20 pounds overweight gets a pass a few minutes in and can clear it but takes an awful touch and turns into a goal..then starts yelling at his defender..its all on you Matt

The goalie rolled it wide to the winger near the end line.  The winger rolled it back like two seconds later for some reason then HFX pressed the goalie.  Only way out that late was to boot it behind the line for a corner.

Very easy as a fan to sit and blame the keeper. As I suspect you probably weren’t present for the game. The keeper was clearing screaming clear to his defender because he noticed the pressure on.

the touch was horrific, but it almost looks like he wasn’t expecting the pass back. Still, the awful touch is the talking point.

The keeper definitely responded well after the fact, but I suspect he will want that back for sure. Let’s not attack his weight either, if you have followed or watch league one from the very beginning he has always been that size and has done quiet well for himself (2 league championships, 1 league cup, 2 goalie of the years, countless all stars)

Just some thoughts from a spectator at the game and not from a TV.

Was the pass back a bad decision? Sure but thats not the reason it turned into a goal..he could have put it out but didnt so yes the pass back is not a good decision but the goal is on George as he still could have put it out

Theres no attacking his weight..hes simply overweight for a high level player..doesnt mean he cant win

Personally insulted by your comment. Firstly, if your going to insult him have the balls to use your name and not hide behind a user name. Probably never put on a pair of football boots in your life. My son is the most decorated goalkeeper in League1 history and no matter what happens next Wednesday he is a proven Winner.

Matt is a nice guy too, only spent like 3 months training with him back in fall 2013. Im glad to see him doing well in League 1. Cheers to your son sir!
