A sincere, not snarky, congrats on getting rid of that goose egg in the win column. I know this level is about development but damn that dragged on too long. Good luck with the rest of the season.

Louisville 2-0 up in the first half after scoring in the 11th and 12th minute. Between the first and second goal Louisville should've already made it 2-0 which is incredible in a minutes time during which Louisville celebrated the opener and Montreal had to restart the game.

The defending again is shocking. I absolutely don't know what Meilleur was thinking when he was trying to close down a player abandoning his position and leaving a game for the striker to receive the pass and score fairly easily. Second goal was quite shocking as well where 10 things went wrong leading up to it.

Still 65 mins to go now but it doesn't look good and Louisville are far superior.

EDIT:
And Gagnon gets a red card for an elbow in the 36th minute.

Team is starting to show some improvements with a couple different players since the start of the season. 2 wins this week at home to Riverhounds and now away against the Battery. Ballou Tabla the star with 2 goals and 3 assists in 2 matches.

Would they like to join League1?

Why would they like to join League 1? They didn't want to join PLSQ, I highly doubt that they'd play in a slightly better league that requires to travel at least 3 hours for the closest match and 7 for the regular match. Also, they're now not bad in USL for the past week or so, Attendance doesn't really matter because it's not their bread and butter.

Moreso just a sarcastic comment about the attendance and ticket prices.  Not meant as serious.

They officially got eliminated this week. Another disappointing year.

Not sure about the disappointing year. They've had an awful start losing 18 out of the first 21 games where players clearly needed to adapt to the level.

FC Montreal have been playing with so many young players and they've clearly improved. A couple guys have really matured, improved themselves and therefore also lead the team to better results.

Results in youth teams are less important. You often have a squad of 18 players and hope that the top 3 players can improve themselves and that the other 15 players can help them. That was clearly not the case in the beginning but the general standard has gone up a bit and that has helped the key youth players in this team which is the most important thing.

Results wise it's been poor but I think educationally the key players that could be Impact first teamers have developed so imo it's a win.

Hopefully the standard will improve next year.

That is the hope, but if they stuff the roster full of not-ready-for-prime-time players again it doesn't help the first team or the top prospects like Tabla. Half the guys whom improved towards the end of last year, like Bringolf, just ended up leaving the team anyway. Again, the Whitecaps 2 have a successful model from every possible angle: competitive, watchable, non-terrible attendance, developing young prospects like Davies and finding veteran guys like Greig who can help the first team immediately.
