Twardek was named one of the 26th top young Czech talent to look out for by a national 'newspaper'.  The short article mentioned that he was born in Canada, plays for Millwall, and when he first played for the Czech Republic he couldn't speak one word of Czech.

Seems like he is a little low on the totem pole...

Yeah I track him. He has a brother (in the college system I thin) as well.

Red Deer's Ajdin Sarcevic (FC Edmonton Academy) has been invited to a Bosnian U17/19 identification camp:

Let me guess, he wasn't identified by the CSA at age 14 or 15 so him and his family have decided to move on to a team that can appreciate his talents.

Honestly, why do we bump this thread? Just forget about players who want to play for other countries....

I'd rather not forget them. I enjoy watching these kinds of stories develop and I'm always curious as to why they choose to not play for Canada. To be honest though I don't really care who this kid plays for because the chance of him making any difference in a footballing sense is slim to nil.

Kevin Chan-Yu-Tin played for the Canadian U17 team in 2007 and 2006, but obviously hasn't had any other chances with Canada.

He has been called up to the Mauritius national team this year http://fclakeshore.plsq.ca/en/publication/news/kevin_chan_-_mauritius_national_team.html

Updated list with only current players. Removed Hargreaves, Vitoria, Twardek, and Lensky.

Matthew Laic played for the Croatian U16 side this past April.

Interesting. This kid is a 2000 born striker from Oakville, ON. Joined 3rd Div. side NK Trnje Zagreb in March and was called to the Croatian U16 side a month later. He has now joined Dinamo Zagreb's U17 side.

Noah Verhoeven from the Whitecaps residency has been called in to a camp for the US U-18 national team.

He has dual American and Canadian citizenship. I'm not sure where he was born. According to his player profile on the Whitecaps page, he has been in Canada since at least 2004.

He was previously part of Canadian U-15 camp.
