Toje
Twardek was named one of the 26th top young Czech talent to look out for by a national 'newspaper'. The short article mentioned that he was born in Canada, plays for Millwall, and when he first played for the Czech Republic he couldn't speak one word of Czech. Seems like he is a little low on the totem pole...

masster
Interview with Jonathan De Guzman. He plays up his injury, but fact is that he has been frozen out of the Napoli squad. Sarri did not want him around and they tried to move him in the summer but could not close a deal. It is expected that he will be this move. http://www.sportsnet.ca/soccer/de-guzman-giving-back-to-the-game-of-soccer-in-canada/

Just forget about players who want to play for other countries.... I'd rather not forget them. I enjoy watching these kinds of stories develop and I'm always curious as to why they choose to not play for Canada. To be honest though I don't really care who this kid plays for because the chance of him making any difference in a footballing sense is slim to nil. Toje
Interview with Twardek from Czech Radio. Blackdude
I'm not calling him a defector, but former Canada U-17 player Kevin Dean Chan-Yu-Tin has been called to play for Mauritius. http://www.plsq.ca/fr/publication/nouvelle/chan_yu-tin_avec_la_republique_de_maurice.html
Toje
Kevin Chan-Yu-Tin played for the Canadian U17 team in 2007 and 2006, but obviously hasn't had any other chances with Canada. Toje
Michael Luk is another player who previously played under the Canadian system (U17 level) but went on to play for another country. In 2012, he played his first match for the senior Hong Kong team. He obviously wasn't going to get a shot with Canada, so not a 'traitor' by any means. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Michael_Luk
