Ayomide Akinola (born in Brampton and plays for the Toronto FC Academy) was called up to the US U15 team for a tournament in Slovenia and Italy last month.  The US won the tournament defeating Austria in the final.

 

He scored 4 goals in the tournament.

"When you name a squad of 28 players, it' important that you have an eye on development and Caolan has made a breakthrough at club level in the Championship," said O'Neill.

"It's good to get him into the squad and have a look at him. Also, we have to consider his eligibility as he has a number of choices as to who he can play international football for.

"There is a need to get these young players into the squad and incorporate and develop them."

Brydon Caesar is with FC Viikingit in the Finnish 3rd division.

He played with the University of Windsor a few years back and recently with the Windsor Stars.  He was recently invited to a Guyana training camp.

Kris Twardek was not named to the Czech Republic U19 squad that will compete in a qualifying tournament later this week in Estonia.  However, he was named to the reserve squad.

He is coming off a fracture toe, which might be a reason why he was not named to the first team.
