Vic
They play Mexico after the Canada game.
terpfan68
That's good, but the way Canada's luck is going watch Mexico (with home pitch advantage) get a 1 - 1 draw and then Canada will have to beat the US to qualify. Then the good old CSA will have wished they hosted the tournament.
Bill Ault
Saturday, April 05, 2008 Canada vs Costa Rica - Your Running Commentary Canada faces Costa Rica on Sunday with first place in Group B on the line. Canada has already qualified for the 9 April semi-final regardless of Sunday’s outcome, but the result will determine whether Canada finishes first or second in Group B. Canada needs a win or draw to finish first ahead of Costa Rica and Trinidad & Tobago. With a nod (ah who's kidding who we stole the idea in its entirety) to one of the best soccer blogs online today - Soccer by Ives - we're going to experiment a bit with one of the best features of that site. Richard
Crappy streaming feed from CBC again, at least to the west coast.

red card
at least and finally Stoumbous is saying to actually put two passes together, move into space, improve your first touch, stop kicking long balls with your eyes closed - but it took what? a decade for her to realize how the game should be played? Richard
Stoumbos' loyalty finally showing cracks letting her frustration show perhaps?
Richard
I think CBC must serving this feed from Nigel Reed's notebook computer!
Sam
So frustrating. Same tactics with some terrible individual performances.
Richard
Hard to believe these women have been fulltime professional soccer players living and training in residence for nearly two years now!
Richard
I give up with the CBC streaming video, it is unusable for this game. The TFC promo at the beginning of each reconnect comes through perfectly but the game feed is so poor it is less than useless.
JamesW
I'm not having any problems with the stream.
puskas
What makes it even harder to watch than the streaming is this kicking it up all the time brainless futureless soccer. Makes it really difficult to watch, I hate it. With the women game having gotten better, this style will and has not produced results. Why isn't Lang playing? Richard
This Canadian team is even harder to watch than TFC!
Richard
If this Canadian team has to beat the USA to qualify, they're toast.

Richard
Seems I'm not the only one who was not impressed with the team's performance despite their lacklustre victory: "The players did not perform to their ability," says coach Even Pellerud. "They played very careless and apprehensive. Their play really affected (the outcome of) the game."
Kevin McMillan
Well, for some reason I didn't think the game started until 1PT... dammit. Oh well... on the brightside I read the Yanks are up 1-0 in the first half
Kevin McMillan
Mexico got it back, but then the US went back up the next time down the pitch... then added a third just seconds before the half. 3-1 US at the half. 15' - US Kai 33' - Mex Worbis 35' - US Wombach 45+' - US Kai
