    • The reality is that he hasn't been killing it with Bayern lately.  There is a possibility they are at least slowing down the pursuit a bit - and I think that was always a bit of a risk if he let himself get distracted by the planned move.       As we have found with JD, there is not always fire where there is smoke.
    • 100%. Looking at my streaming subscriptions right now, I'm very interested in a move to La Liga, Serie A., Ligue 1, or perhaps even one of the Turkish giants. Though if he does make his way up to West Ham, it may finally be time for me to start watching the premier league. I'm still without a team- if they play him, it might be all I need to become a West Ham guy.
    • May just be click bait if they are claiming it is in any way imminent given Brian Noonan said this as recently as two weeks ago: https://canadiansoccerdaily.com/2024/04/12/exclusive-mark-noonan-talks-canpl-expansion-similarities-to-early-mls/ ...“We’re not going to put any specific markers down,” Noonan said. “I think we’ll double the size of the league in ten years. I think any expansion, at this stage, for 2025 is unlikely. “I’m still bullish about expansion and where we’re ultimately going to end up, but we’ve learned too many hard lessons to expand when you don’t have the right conditions to be successful. And so we’re putting those puzzles together in various communities...
    • Eustaquio to West Ham?
    • Would not be all that surprised, if the team were in Quebec City.
    • Yep even Romano's "Here we go" is not iron-clad these days.
    • here we go vancouver with a roster of 27 players going on the road in the east with 6 subs...leon sturing and baldisimo still out so higgins likely starting...in cpl if you go at higgins for 90 minutes you have a pretty good chance of winning the game... https://canpl.ca/article/preview-york-united-vs-vancouver-fc-2024-match-9 Ghotbi has been remarkably consistent in his squad selection so far this season, rolling out the same starting eleven for each of the team’s matches thus far. That won’t be the case on Friday, as Kadin Chung suffered an injury against Cavalry in Canadian Championship action, but the good news is that the club doesn’t believe the injury to be as serious as it first looked. Vancouver will only have six substitutes available on Friday as a result, however. The Nine Stripes could potentially see the return of Brem Soumaoro and Juan Córdova on Friday, which would undoubtedly be a big boost. Frank Sturing and Oswaldo León, however, as well as Matthew Baldisimo are considered longer-term injuries. That means York will likely need to continue relying on a young centreback pairing of Noah Abatneh and Nyal Higgins.
    • Just leaving this here for no reason   "West Ham consider Julen Lopetegui and Paulo Fonseca as David Moyes' future is mulled over" https://www.skysports.com/football/news/11685/13121591/west-ham-consider-julen-lopetegui-and-paulo-fonseca-as-david-moyes-future-is-mulled-over
    • General rule is the transfer isn't official until you see a photo of the player holding/wearing the new jersey.
    • Would love to see him in a better/more easily watchable league, myself.
