Match Thread: CONCACAF League - Semi-Final - Leg 2: CD Motagua (Honduras) v Forge FC - December 1, 2021

Interesting to learn that Montagua and Olimpia (who bounced Forge from CONCACAF league 2 years ago) share Estadio Tiburcio Carias Andino. However, for some reason when Forge went down to face Olimpia last time they made us play in daunting San Pedro Sula instead.

Not sure if I'm interpreting this correctly, but the match preview from Canpl.ca seems to suggest we may see Johnny Grant back in the lineup tonight in a limited capacity. That would be gigantic considering Cisse is out at RB. I'm imagining we see Achinioti in the backline tonight

"Jonathan Grant, who hasn’t played since late October but would be a very useful fill-in for Cisse, might also not quite be back to full speed. "

This is going to be very tough for Forge especially having to rely on a bit of a makeshift backline, Cisse has been so solid at RB and he would be my choice to start any match he is available, Grant coming back from a long lay off is not ideal, agree that Achnioti will probably drop in to a CB position, maybe Metusala or Samuel will play RB if Grant isn't up for it! I don't ever count Forge out but this is a really good Honduran side playing at home getting a win there will be a monumental task!
