jpg75
^ I hoped and assumed that the salaries of those players would be low, so i'm relieved that the new staff didn't pull a MoJo and overpay. The one jaw dropper however is the Stevanovic cap hit, that's just way too much for what he's contributing...reminds me of Pablo Vitti in more ways than one. Thank god it's only a 6 month loan, we can drop him in the summer and pick up a DP to replace him.

Michael Crampton
Good to see these numbers are not too high: TFC Bouchiba Elbekay M $ 92,004.00 $ 92,004.00 TFC Soolsma Nick M-F $ 86,004.00 $ 86,004.00 TFC Yourassowsky Mikael D $ 80,004.00 $ 81,670.67 TFC Martina Javier F $ 89,460.00 $ 96,140.75 Yes, agree completely. They're all being paid MLS journeyman rates so if they do work out TFC won't be allocating a disproportionate part of their budget to them. That sort of thing should really be reserved for the 3 or 4 elite difference makers on an MLS squad.
MM2
If the amounts above are what count against the Cap it gives TFC a cap hit of $2,037,500. The 2011 Cap is $2,675,000. In addition TFC would get a full allocation for missing the playoffs and they have also picked up allocation money in trades minus some salary they may be picking up for traded players. This should leave the team with a failry hefty (in MLS terms) war chest to make some aquistions in the summer transfer window
Soccerpro
What postions do TFC need to address at this point? IMHO, I'd like to see a left back brought in (Winter seems to think Yourass can't cut it, Borman definately can't), a dynamic winger and a goalscorer up front (what team doesn't want one of those). We need a goal scorer big time, Plata is a good support player but we need a guy who is going to actually score consistently. Very disappointing result. BringBackTheBlizzard
Hopefully Alan Gordon will be back soon. Not a top star in MLS by any means but still able to come up with a reasonable haul of goals. As long as TFC are still in the hunt for a playoff spot by the time the transfer window opens good things can still happen this season if Winter and Mariner can use the available cap space effectively at that point. Havoc88
De Klerk did a really good 'interview' in yesterday's half time outlining the 4-3-3 system and players' 'numbers'. He stated the #10 is the most important player and IMO that is our biggest weakness. We need a stud AM to lie below Gordon and be able to score from anywhere ala Gerard/Lampard/Ballack etc ... MM2
Adrian Cann's injury opens up a spot on the roster though his salary will still count against the cap.

MM2
Alen Stevanovic' loan has ended, he returns to Italy, at the 2nd highest cap hit on the team, this gives TFc even more room to move during the transfer window.

Thank god, what a waste of cap space! He had such promise based on his pedigree, but he was completely underwhelming in his stint with us. Reminded me of the Pablo Vitti signing. MM2
With the two new signings and only one International spot open either someone has to be released/moved by the 15th or Elbekay Bouchiba is on or goes to the Injury reserve list.

I notice in your header Kocic doesn't have a little 'I' by his name. Is that correct? If not, don't we need to lose another Import?
