Imhof bleibt doch in Bochum

But Daniel neither is listed on the players leaving Bochum

Hi, that is supposed to go in the weekly Canucks Abroad thread. Good to see he is playing well though.

According to Champs at the U-Sector site, Rocco Placentino has been training with TFC. I'm not sure if he's trying to stay in shape for the summer, or if this is a trial. Its difficult to get info from Italy on players from lower divisions.

Hello Massive maybe I can help in this regards it appears that placentino is free player according to Arezzo. They have only signed 11 players, to be out on loaned for this year. A big reduction since the relegation of Arezzo to Serie C1 compared to last year.

It may be possible that Placentino has played out his option in Italy and may in fact be a member of the the TFC much sooner then later....I know he suffered injury last year on his knee which he was out for half the season I hope that has nothing to do with it. He is a very good player I have seen him play and would be a tremdous addition to the club in Toronto if he is healthy. I know that Massese Calcio, the team he was loaned out to last year he played 18 games is now in Ritiro and I have not seen his name come up anywhere, If in fact he is still here today then the possiblities of a signing for the Toronto Fc is high on the list and maybe just waiting for paper from Arezzo to make it offical.

But only if he is still here...all clubs are in ritiro now in Italy preparing for the next season....and I can tell you that he is not on any list of transfer within Italy at this time.....

Don't know if this quite counts as Canucks Abroad but I guess it does potentially - David Monsalve has been signed by the MLS & added to the pool of "emergency keepers" available to any team in the league. Given where he's from though I'd be surprised if anyone other than TFC uses him (as they did last night against Aston Villa) but you never know.

Placentino may be on his way to Ternana Calcio. They are C1 Girone A. It seems that that has been some loans to Gualdo from Ternana lately, and it is speculation at this point and not confirmed that Placentino is on his way there. On loan.

I'll keep an eye in that area. I hope he's back I look forward to watching him again in Umbria.

Thanks to moaca at bigsoccer for the link.

Also Ed has reported on bigsoccer the good news that Kennedy Owusu-Ansah has been promoted to the Hertha Berlin U23 team from the U19 team (which, given his age, I think he is still eligible for).

Anyone know if the U-23 side of Hertha is the B team, the Regionalliga Nord team, for sure? Or is it the Oberliga team, playing a level down? That link does not make it clear.

Interested as I am going to Berlin next week, Hertha plays the home opener away, but would go see Kennedy play if I knew for sure what team he was with and could check a schedule.

Edit: sorry answered my own question, and this means that Hertha does not have a Regionalliga team this season. They are in Oberliga NOFV Nord division (4th tier), and on the 12th play a team, Türkiyemspor 1978, from the neighbourhood I am staying in, Kreuzberg, in a small local stadium in the neighbourhood itself.

Meaning Owusu-Ansah should be changed to Hertha BSC II, Oberliga NOFV Nord (4), if indeed that is where the u-23s play.

Just follow up I have heard thru some my conversations from europe that Placentino's opportuntiy with Ternana may not have not happened as expected no reason given, and he is on his way another team in Toscany. I will keep you posted as to his where abouts shortly as the markets are in the final stages in Italy and most teams are set for the year...and have announced their players on the team.,...

My Hungarian is non-existent, but it looks like there are no Canadian players at Lombard Papa this year.

Kialakult a 2007/2008-as csapatunk kerete! Íme a névsor:

kapusok: Sz#369;cs L., Tarczy.

mez#337;nyjátékosok: Zsók, Kerényi, Budovinszky, Geri, Rajnay, Császár, Kovács Sz., Stilet, Tóth G., Szabó Z., Kapics, Ribeiro, Vituska, Nagy T., Ahodikpe, Schafranek, Gy#337;ri, Zámbó, Alex, Silva, Fabinho, Germán.

Some follow-up on that:

Joevannie Peart elkelt!

http://www.lombardpapafc.hu/index.php?ugras=hirolvaso&hirszama=37829

I know almost no Hungarian to speak of, but it seems Joevannie Peart is off to Becamex Bính Duong in Vietnam (who are winning the league in a walk at the moment). The title means either "Joevannie Peart is leaving!" or "Joevannie Peart left!"

Couldn't find any news on the other two.

Follow up

It appears Carrarese from C2 in Girone B is very interested in signing Placentino, and maybe soon as well. They commnent how important this signing would be to the team progress for this coming season and his talents that follows him.
