Gian-Luca
A poster on the old board is indicating that Julian Uccello of Richmond Hill, Ontario, has signed with AC Milan's youth team. Also, 16-year old Jamie Peters has a trial with Osters in Sweden set for the end of September.
wfp
To the best of my knowledge, Roman Tulis Jr. is, as of August, schooling and playing with the University of Illinois/Chicago. I believe he trialed with the Slovakian national youth squad and youth versions of Unterhaching and 1860 Munich over the past couple of years. Andrew W
Good on you for getting Justin Thompson included. Obviously Justin doesn't have the necessary caps to get a work permit in England, is he the holder of an EU passport? Must be. Plus, is there any way we can get a special spot for this thread so it doesn't fall too far down the list, maybe even its own folder like the three we have. So we'd have a National Team, Canadian pro/semipro, General and Canucks abroad. Mods? Any thoughts? (sorry Impact Supporter, I know you have the copyright on the last phrase )
Crazy_Yank
Interesting thread. I didn't know so many Canucks played in Europe. Maybe the CSA should consider moving its "home" base to England ala Australia and Jamaica. Play on of the British teams in the home stadium of one of the England based players. I had suggested such a split a while ago, but it didn't go over too well with the few people who responded. In general it seems that most people want as few sections as possible. What if we improve the Canadians Abroad list on the Voyageurs site? Perhaps adding a few people to the group that maintains that list will see it updated more frequently. Actually its one of the main reasons why we have played almost nothing but European (or North African) friendlies since 2000. The US match in January is the exception, and that was a 3rd-string squad missing a ton of players. The numbers are a bit deceiving in that many players are fairly young (in either youth or reserves) and its impossible to say how many of them will stick in Europe for first team duty. However, even the number of youth players is larger than it ever was before, so its still a good sign.
Jarrek
Wyn Belotte plays for Wisla II, which are the reserves of Wisla. He hasn't seem much gametime, and based on fan reports he is not doing that well.

I am all for the CSA executives moving 'back home' to the UK; then we can get a real coach, and set up a training centre on the continent.
David C.
It's so disapointing to hear the poor Wyn Belotte reports. I really hope we don't have another "Brad Parker" on our hands. Wyn was such a treat to watch at the youth level. Hope he doesn't fade away.

Gian-Luca
Notes on the changes, a couple of people have been deleted (most notably Yallop, but also Braz who apparently is back with Montreal), Atiba & Poz have question marks until we figure out where they end up. As for Ferrari, we'll also have to wait & see which option he chooses.
