Match Thread: August 11, 2021 - Cavalry v Pacific

I am really excited about this match tonight. Pacific sit top of the table, but they still have to really prove themselves to me. A match like this away from home will go a long way to making me a believer.

I feel like the short bench has the potential to hurt Calgary, but giving them the slight edge in the game (seems to be the bookie's take as well).

Campbell with the start?  Not to jinx anybody but was leaning towards a road win for Pacific, guess Kah's feeling good about his chances tonight.

What’s that supposed to mean? He’s had 4 points (2 g 2a) in his last 3 appearances, including a goal and assist in our last game

^ It means Kah must feel he can take the match to Cavalry.  Oh, and I haven't been expecially impressed with Campbell so far, coming off the bench or starting, a pair of goals in his last 3 appearances or no. 

We're going to see what he's got for Cavalry.  Luck in battle!

Not an especially good half from either side. Both sides can tighten up their passing.

Yikes, not a good game for Pacific. Not sure why they decided to try be a long ball team tonight.

Surprised Klomp didn't get a yellow for that tackle on dos Santos.

Well that certainly wouldn't make anyone a believer. An away draw is a perfectly good result but if there was a game to come away from Calgary with a W this was it. Our bench was full, there bench was almost non-existent. This feels like dropped points for us.

What some of the cards got thrown out there for yesterday yeah, that would have been one of the more justified ones.
