We don't really need a thread, there is a "List of international goals scored by Christine Sinclair" Wikipedia article. I hate the creation of extra unnecessary threads for comments that should just be in existing ones. Unless the thread titles are in caps, then the hyperbole and agenda inside is completely acceptable.

tc-in-bc
This link seems to be working ( Canada vs Japan , 5/6 placement match ) after clicking the tiny ' x ' in the corner. https://mov3.co/en/fujitv/
tc-in-bc
[ 1 ] FT. Canada 2 - 0 Japan ( 20' Beckie, 50' Lawrence ) . Canada finish in fifth place. [ 2 ] Diana Matheson was subbed out roughly after 30 minutes . Could history be repeating itself a little? Matheson got injured ( an ACL ) against Japan in 2014 and her career has never quite been the same. [ 3 ] A good game for Janine Beckie who not only scored a goal but was noticeble defensively. At the 31' Nakajima was put in by a through ball and Beckie tracked her down and ( along with Labbe ) extinguished the opportunity. [ 4 ] For those who follow D1F, Ashley Lawrence ( of PSG ) fought through Saki Kumagai ( of Olympique Lyonnais ) to get her foot on the ball and direct it towards the open net to score Canada's second goal. ( And obviously, Kumagai is also a team mate of Buchanan's at OL ). [ 5 ] A little disappointed that Sinclair was subbed off with 10 minutes to go. Was hoping she would add to her total. sloth8
Great result. Sorry to hear about Matheson - hopefully, it's nothing too serious. Agreed that Beckie had a great game and the defensive tackle was top notch. Nice stop by Labbé on the PK at the end. Although the pass back from Quinn, and the challenge by Labbé that led to the call, were both poor.

Vic
Portugal winning the bronze over Australia is fantastic. Too bad they cancelled the final. Is there no turf field in the Algarve?

tc-in-bc
^[ 1 ] The actual full television broadcast of Canada vs Japan is on Youtube and the pitch dimensions look typical to me. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9KxnI19L6ig The highlight package does look a little distorted and narrow though. Probably because it's just a loosely put together fan edit of the original television broadcast which panned closer to the players and cropped out some of the pitch. ^[ 2 ] Speaking of narrow pitches, the NWSL played a very memorable match on a narrow pitch in 2016 between WNY Flash vs Seattle Reign. The corner flag and the 18 yard box are shockingly close. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EsboVpgdKlw [ 3 ] An interview with Jenna Hellstrom, on Youtube, from late January 2018 , confirms that the CANWNT were supposed to play in the 2018 Four Nations Tournament China ( January 19 -23 , 2018 ) -- also known as the 2018 CFA International Women's Football Tournament Foshan. HELLSTROM: " Yeah, so we were originally supposed to be with , oh sorry, go to China for the Four Nations Cup but that got cancelled for us ." https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yBVMixbglEg
