Tesho Akindele is starting for FC Dallas

Fraser Aird is starting for Vancouver, while David Edgar, Marco Bustos, and Marcel de Jong are on the bench.

Bustos and de Jong were subbed on later in the game, not sure the times.

*Ahem* Canada's active leading scorer strikes!

Ricketts is a proving to be a bit of a poacher eh? Popping up in the right place at the right time is a skill. Wondo has made a career of it!

Glad he is having a good debut season in MLS!

Signing with TFC is by far the best thing to happen to Ricketts' career. It's nice to see someone who's bounced around Europe and not getting paid having some success.

Croatian 2nd tier - Oct 16th

Colin Jacques started and played 90 minutes for Rudes in a 1-1 draw with Gorica.  Rudes are still 3 points clear in first place.

Polish 5th tier - Oct 15th

Charlie Trafford started for Korona II Kielce and played 53 minutes in a 0-0 draw with Sandomierz.

3 goals in 370 minutes is a decent return for a 3rd choice striker. If those 2-3 sitters he missed find the back of the net his strike rate would be better than a goal every 90 minutes!

Looks like Manny Aparicio and Patryk Misik are getting regular appearances with SD Ordenes. Aparicio has 460 minutes in 6 appearances and Misik has 369 minutes in 5 appearances. Ordenes is bottom of the table with 1 point through 9 games though.

As an aside, I finally found a site that reliably tracks the Spanish 4th division. Voila! http://www.lapreferente.com/E4434C6333-13/sdc-ordenes

Zach Brault Captained Lyon in the Uefa Youth League today. Played 90 at right back against Juventus. They went down to ten men pretty early and ended up losing 3-0. Lyon has used 3 right backs this year and we're not having as strong a season as we would have hoped. Perhaps theres an opening on that side of the field for a young guy.

Milan Borjan is on the bench for Ludogorets vs Arsenal. Was probably relieved to be on the bench as they got smacked 6-0

Junior Hoilett is starting for Cardiff City vs Sheffield Wed. Played the full 90 minutes in a 1-1 draw

Atiba Hutchinson is starting for Besiktas vs Napoli. Played the full 90 minutes in a 3-2 win.

Depressing to see how depressingly badly they are doing, too bad.

Ricky Gomes keeps a clean sheet in his first league start. 2-0 against Forfar.

Highlights of the match are below. Couple of decent stops from Gomes. Watching these highlights takes me back to watching Carreiro's highlights from when he was on loan at Arbroath, which then reminded me how far he fell.

Big win for Atiba and Besiktas away from home. Napoli's first ever home loss in the Champions League. The win is their first of the group stage and has them sitting in second place (behind Napoli) on 5 points after 3 games.

I thought this was a nice picture that Issey posted prior to the match:
