BuzzAndSting
I thought Edward was really good as well; rather commanding on a really tough night with the wind blowing and not a very nice pitch. Didn't even know he was a local (Ottawa) boy. Me neither. Makes sense, we were sitting in front of a few Edmonton supporters who were cheering him on. Overall I found the live experience pretty good. I was surprised the announced crowd was only 2400, it seemed like more. The "field" looked terrible and erratic rolling/bouncing definitely caused a few lost balls and bad passes. Beer was well priced for professional sports but the choice of Blue/Blue Light was interesting, Lababtt does not promote these brands at all to licensees, they're all about pushing Bud/Bud Light. The ticket/bracelet thing is a bit of a nuisance at the start of the game but I believe it's because of the fact that Carleton has a temporary license as opposed to a full liquor license. The supporters were a small crowd but loud and we heard them all the way at the other end of the stand. Mont Pete as well as a few other CSA execs were around, no sign of Floro. I hope Ottawa can pull of a win in Edmonton, I'd love to go to Montreal to see them.
Dub Narcotic
yeah I agree, he was awesome. But I also love Hanson Bokai. If he can get physically a bit tougher, he is gonna be amazing! I would really like Toronto or Montreal to buy him. They need young attacking prospects, Bokai needs to play at a higher level and Edmonton needs the money. Lord Bob
What would be the point of sending Boakai to a league where he could get fucked by the next NCAA sprinter to come along? Edmonton is the place for him until a good European league calls.
RS
If the NCAA sprinters are in MLS, what's in NASL? The joggers?
Blackdude
I just don't think that MLS clubs would buy Boakai for many reasons including that they would need to pay a transfer fee. He's worth probably in the six figures. To make it happen, MLS would need to lowball him on salary.

Edmonton is the place for him until a good European league calls. I agree. I assume that he is going to take a similar path as Samuel Piette. Fortuna Duesseldorf were quite interested in him. Maybe an even better European club will snatch him. Either way, exciting to follow. (don't want this thread to go out of hand).
shermanator
If I were to bet my house, at the end of the season, Boakai is moving to Fortuna Dusseldorf to play with Piette. No use having him go anywhere before then as he can get competitive experience in the NASL, whereas he cannot legally play in Germany (even for their second team) until he turns 18. That's very affordable, especially under a new CBA.

masster
The Eddies are usually my second team, but I must admit that I am fully pulling for Ottawa. I think it would be great for the new team in terms of publiciy if they could get a matchup with an MLS side. Also, a Montreal v Ottawa clash should be great for travelling support.
