DJT
Guidelines for this thread In this thread post match updates on all Canadians abroad for April 8-14, 2011. If you find updates posted in some other thread or on the other Voyageurs forum then post them here as well, but be sure to credit the original poster. If there is news that is particularly significant (eg. someone scores a big goal, someone gets injured, etc.) then feel free to begin a new thread on that topic in order to draw greater attention or start a discussion, but also post that news here. Some comments on news posted in this thread are okay, but let's not let this thread go off into a long discussion. If the news already appears in another thread (as per the previous bullet) then post your comments in that other thread, otherwise if you want to say something significant or if it is likely to generate replies then begin a new thread. TFCRegina
Hume has scored for PNE at Portsmouth! Good news. Basically PNE needs to be perfect over the last six games and they need Crystal Palace to blow it. In other updates, Cardiff up 1 over Doncaster. Ipswich leading Crystal Palace by 1 (good for PNE!), Burnley trailing Leicester by 1, Reading and Forrest tied, Blackburn down 1 to Birmingham, and Lincoln City trailing by a goal to Gillingham. nolando
Turkey - Simpson got subbed out at min 50 of a 0-0 draw between Manisaspor and Konyaspor. No mention of an injury, thankfully. It seems the manager pulled him off for a second outright striker, to try and put away cellar dwelling Konyaspor.
jonovision
Yesterday Radzinski played 90 minutes in a 2-1 loss to Mechelen, in some sort of playoff at the end of the Belgian season.

JamboAl
That is rare, a completely covered football stadium? It is although Alta IF (Norwegian 2nd Division) plays in a similar completely covered stadium; the big differences being that Alta is really really up north (similar to Iqaluit) while Stabaek is a suburb of Oslo and the stadium in Alta looks more like a football size gym that seats about 1,500 with no stands behind the goals, just walls. I watched Stabaek play Tirana in a Champions League Qualification match and on TV you wouldn't know it was indoors as it is pretty well lit and looks like a proper outdoor stadium. canucklefan
Dutch Eredivisie PSV 0 - 0 Heerenveen (at HT) Hutchinson starts in midfield for PSV. Twente Enschede drew today which means PSV could sit on top of the table again if they win today. EDIT: Hutchinson played 90 minutes and the match ends 2 - 2. Twente has 64 pts and PSV follows with 62 with four remaining games to be played.
nolando
Turkey - No Klukowski in the squad in Ankaragucu's 3-2 loss to Gaziantepspor. Reports indicate he has asked to leave the club over non-payment of wages: http://www.flasgazetesi.com.tr/haberDetayMiddle.asp?ID=22329 Denmark - Issey went out on min 61 of Horsens' 0-0 draw with Aalborg. Picked up a yellow just minutes before so might have been a manager's decision. Bernier, on the other hand, was replaced just 31 minutes into his Nordsjaelland's much-needed 2-0 away win over Sonderjyske. Potential injury? Norway - Pozniak served the third of his three match ban as his Haugesund lost 1-0 away to Aalesund. Perhaps the result will help Poz get back into the squad right away. Switzerland - Imhof played 90 min at LM in a 4-2-3-1 in a St. Gallen 1-1 draw with fellow cellar dwelling Xamax. St. Gallen in last place and heading towards relegation at the moment. Sweden - Stamatopoulos was on the bench for AIK's 3-0 drubbing of Mjällby. Finland - IFK Mariehamn beat the heck out of third-tier LPS, 8-0 in the Finnish Cup. Trafford started. Portugal - Liga de Honra - Pacheco's Santa Clara lost 2-1 at home to league leaders Oliveirense. Pacheco played 90. The match was played in front of a paltry 350 people.
