forster01
@thescottc, The white one with red maple leaf is really nice i love it, best one ive seen.
Tuscan
@thescottc - could you do a white with the maple leaf outline in red, basically a reverse of that #5 jersey? I really like that design, and would love to see the white reverse version. Geez, we could come up with kit redesigns for the CSA for the next 20 years the way things are going. Here you go: Sorry, it's not a true reverse because I used a slightly different jersey style (I've been using Italy's white jersey and Fiorentina's red for these). redhat
Much better designs, thescottc! My thinking was that the Umbro chevron took away much of the focus from the Canada crest; the simplicity was more effective. Too bad you were using Puma's (though I like them better). paul-collins
I was thinking, based on the xajA (Soju rendering), the whites could be all white with a pinstripe outline where the transition from red to white is. I have no shop skilz so I'll leave it to others to execute.
Tuscan
That's awesome, I'm sold. the simplicity is great, it is undeniably Canadian, very recognizable jersey I'd say, nothing like a hockey jersey, just clean looking. Love it, more than the reverse Ajax kit.
foreverthursday
I want thescottc to make team Canada's jerseys, and while he is at it, make F.C. Edmonton's as well.

thescottc
Thanks all. Seems like my years of graphic design training and soccer fanaticism have dove-tailed nicely
Keegan
Awesome kit! The only thing I'd change is the number on the front, it reminds me of NCAA

Razcle
Dude...That is gorgeous... I spoke with the president of Umbro Monday night and he mentioned that they are looking for designs for next years jersey as it is the CSA Centennial year and they want something that has the "DNA" (his words) of the Canadian fans. Thats all I can tell you right now, but hopefully we can form a good relationship with Umbro to get our hands on a lot of nice Canadian gear. Once I find out exactly what we can do I will divulge more details.

Razcle
Hey Scott. Can you put up a red jersey with all white above the maple leaf. I would love to see how that would look. Might be a bit childish, but it could look awesome.

paul-collins
They have a maple leaf too??? Uh... yeah. BTW I'm not saying that makes it a bad thing, in fact it might make a good marketing tie-in. I'm just pointing out the obvious similarity to their convenience store trade dress. (The jersey Razcle just requested, although harkening to the Canada Cup days, is also now - in the guise of white maple leaf with red surround - used by PetroCan.) Keano
Thick white center-stripe is deadly. Reflects the flag, modern, bold. I'm surprised fewer clubs than just Philadelphia Union would have picked up on how smart a thick center-strip looks.
yomurphy1
I have a question do we have to put the CSA crest on the jersey? If not, using England's new jersey with an oversize Maple Leaf would be sick.

Emlyn
Here's a five-minute stab at it: Update: Another idea in red. this is my favourite so far, reminds me of canada hockey jerseys form the 70's I love it! I also really like the one with the white base and the maple leaf outline in red.
killgod
thescottc, maybe something to spark a creative idea... we're a hockey country right? how about using commonly used styles found on hockey sweaters on a these shirts? might generate some different concepts. stripes around the bottom of the shirt (ala Toronto), shoulder/neck being a diff color (san jose or boston use this), name plates with a background (flyers use this)
