Although not a player anymore, Setanta is showing Pesch's Burton Albion against Middlesborough tomorrow evening at 8 pm. Some talk of him coming home to coach in Canada, I can't see that happening until he hits a ceiling in the UK. He does seem to be well regarded and Middlesborough stinks this year so he may be able to pull an upset in his FA cup match.

FA Cup action today: Lineups announced

Hoilett gets the start vs QPR

Jackson on the bench vs L Orient

M. John on the bench vs Stoke

Edgar on the bench vs Port Vale

Hume not in the squad for Preston (already played an FA cup game for Barnsley perhaps?)

McCallum on the bench vs Hereford United

Hopefully a few players can be a meaningful sub for their team today.

Burton Albion pull off the shock 2-1 upset, good for Pesch! http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/football/fa_cup/9341799.stm

Friendlies

FC Cartagena 0 - 1 PSV, Atiba came in early second half, solid in the middle, both teams didn't show too much going forward.

Wil 3 - 1 St. Gallen (Imhof)

Turkish Cup

Manisaspor 2 - 3 Besiktas, Josh starts and SCORES in the 18th minute, great finish.

English League Cup - Semi Final 1st leg

Ipswich 1 - 0 Arsenal, Peters started at right back up against Arshavin, played 90 minutes. Peters steps up into the midfield to break up the play which leads to Priskin putting past the keeper. A good defensive performance by Jaime, he made a few interceptions throughout and some timely tackles late in the game.

ENGLAND - LEAGUE CUP:

Ipswich 1 - 0 Arsenal

Jaime Peters with a busy game at right-back, and overall a very creditable performance by our man. Battled well, defended smartly and played some good balls going forward. It has to be said that some of his passes went astray, and Theo Walcott did get in behind him dangerously once - but considering the quality of the opposition (Walcott, Arshavin, Chamakh, Fabregas, etc..) - a very respectable clean sheet.

Wouldn't mind seeing Jaime get a full run at RB vs. Greece after this performance. Straith has hardly been playing, Stalteri even less so and Hutch is far too valuable in the middle for us. Plus, we haven't ever really given Jaime at proper run-out at RB.
