jonovision
Thanks, that was exactly what I was looking for. I speak and read French just fine, so I have no excuse for not finding it myself. I suppose I was just too lazy.

Mpenza
So Garber liked our high school stadium so much that he apparently mentioned to Saputo that he perfers Saputo Stadium over BMO Field... Amusing.

I watched TFC v DC UNITED last night and the pitch at BMO was disgusting. It looks terrible at night, poop green and shiny like you wouldn't believe... Mpenza
For the record, my intent was only to report what Garber had said to Saputo, not to turn this into a BMO-bashing contest.

I wasn't bashing BMO, just the ugly artificial turf [xx(] I've never seen it at night until last night.
Guest speedmonk42
The stadium is a great place to watch a game. Monday the Ultras did a great job and they will grow. Now, how about some supporter group solidarity and create a petition to GET RID OF THAT NET.

Guest speedmonk42
I can't think of any good rationale for that net. Either pro crowd, ie safety or anti crowd, ie against the Ultras. There is no compelling reason for it.

While they might also be hoping to stop the Ultras throwing anything on the field (especially those uber-dangerous streamers) in my recollection they had the net behind the other goal as well so it is obviously to prevent balls going into the crowd. piltdownman
Obviously you haven't been hit with the ball while holding a beer in each hand. I have, and it was after the beer cutoff time at swangard...I wish there had been a net

Grizzly
quote:Originally posted by Saviola7 Incidentally, where the number of bathrooms a problem in the end []? The number of bathrooms seemed adequate although since we started out at about 2/3rds of capacity and the crowd shrunk as the game/rain went on it may not be a clear indication of what it will be like when we have a full house.
