if valour has the same four still out injured + faria suspended they could already be on the brink of collapse

there would be 15 outfield players left including inexperienced binate and hanson, extremely weak defender haynes and unknown quantity ressurreicao

pacific looking to build on their first game and win of the season

I don't expect Valour to look any worse than they did last week. If the result is worse, it will speak more to the quality of opponent.

Phil dos Santos' teams have never been good offensively, but he knows how to organize a defense and in theory he has more talent with which to do so than last year's clown show.

Prediction: 2-1 Pacific.

Projected XIs from Gangue-Ruzic:

PROJECTED STARTING XIs

Pacific FC: Gazdov; Amedume, Meilleur-Giguère, Ndom; Dada-Luke, Young, Lamothe, Yeates, Sellouf; Moore

Valour FC: Viscosi; Samaké, Chantzopolous, Facchineri; Alarcón, Campbell, Verhoeven, Antonoglou; Swibel, Binate; Hundal

I would be surprised by a few of these projections, especially Binate getting the start. No reporting anywhere about the Valour midfield injuries (Polisi, presumably Ohin). Facchineri and Chantzopolous will need to be much better.

2-1 Pacific is my prediction.

From the link you provided... "Tass Mourdoukoutas and Raphael Ohin both could be options to crack the squad for this game after missing out altogether last weekend with injuries."

Northern Tribune article on Ohin... https://northerntribune.ca/valour-captain-raphael-ohin-very-close-to-return/

Sounds like Ohin and Tass are close but would not be surprised if they did not even make the trip to BC.  Polisi and Williams no update, so out a while longer.

FYI, at The E & C again for this one.  Bit of a break on chow and bevies for those so inclined.  Few of the usual suspects going but expecting a lighter turn out.  Just saying.

Fingers and toes crossed!
