Corazon Posted March 5 Share Posted March 5 Mitrovic was not selected as one of the 10 midfielders for Serbia's friendlies against Russia & Cyprus. Other Serbian Midfielders not included in this squad are Radonjic (Mallorca 44 caps), Ilic (Torino 14 caps), Racic (Sassuolo 12 caps), Gruijic (Porto 24 caps), Duricic (Panathanaikos 44 caps), Lazovic (Verona 29 caps). It's a very deep midfield when you consider the players above were left off/injured for 10 other midfielders of equal and better quality. I will say that I am impressed that he almost made his debut in Serie A ahead of our first Canadian Tajon. He too has two substitute appearances for Hellas Verona. I happened to watch some of his game against Sassuolo who are also battling relegation. Verona won on a defensive error and put themselves 3 points up on Sassuolo and into 17th place in the table.
