Stefan Mitrovic

Before he transferred to Zvezda, there were numerous links that had him going everywhere in Europe too, this is click bait

He does not even start regularly for Red Star so not sure if a move to this level of team is plausible

Also, Stefan Tomori will regret his cap tie and not choosing Canada, he would have played a lot for us over the next few years in various completions ( Gold Cup, Nations League) then we will for Serbia - he would fill a position of need

Saw that too- no Zvezda nor Partizan players called in- a non-FIFA window so some NA players such as Ranko V and others from elsewhere. Would not read too much into his situation on this game but that said, am certain he will be effectively “Fiyako’d” with the decision he ….errr dad made

Literally feel he could have be called in by us for Qatar but is 6 mins v Armenia a better place to ply his international trade!

The source is his dad, ergo, completely unreliable.

In fact, every rumour out today, in Sport, Mundo Deportivo and Marca, other media outlets, solely cite Ivan. Who sends this out a few days after the transfer window has closed and when the team is leading the league by 8 points.

He's too old to sign for the B team, and probably a long way from what we need to start rebuilding a midfield after Busquets leaves. Pedri, de Jong, Kessie, Gavi_____oh yeah and Stefan Mitrovic, no fotis!

Any chance that Spain might drop the ball on Bajcetic, letting Serbia steal him away, dropping Mitrovic even further down the midfield pecking order at Senior and Youth level, @Unnamed Trialist?

Doubt it. He's already played for Spain u19.

Though it's a cool case where really no one knew of him, Celta let him go young, then his father played in Spain but he wasn't that well known either. Mother is Spanish, similar case to Bojan Krkic.

I haven't watched him, they say he's good.

He's been Liverpool's best midfielder over the last 4-6 weeks, putting Henderson, Fabinho, Thiago, and Keita in the shade. He's a good bet to start the first leg against Real Madrid in the Champions League next week.

Great for Liverpool to take an unfinished talent like that and develop him properly then.

Fiyako V2.0 developing

If he's smart, he will start counting the remaining months of his 3 year wait.  He's a borderline fringe player right now so he may also not be at the level we require if we get some duals and/or emerging young midfielders.
