TT5
It's Montreal, they probably don't care about anything outside of Quebec, which is why they didn't post the TFC v Whitecaps dates.
SthMelbRed
Here's hoping that the 'Caps play TFC at home on June 3rd. That'll mean I can see the 'Caps-TFC in the Cup and 'Caps-Impact in the league a few days apart while I'm home for the week. I'm passing through TO on June 10th, but doubt the wife will be willing to detour to watch a football match.
SthMelbRed
If the 'Caps play TFC on the 3rd and 10th, it's going to be very hard on them. They play in Portland on the 30th of May and host the Impact on the 7th of June and Miami on the 12th. One way or another, they're looking at a trip out to TO for a midweek game sandwiched between to home dates. From a 'Caps perspective, it'll probably be better to host TFC on June 3rd and play the return at BMO on Sunday, June 14th. It'll mean playing in Vancouver on Friday night and Toronto on Sunday, but with a game in Montreal the following weekend, at least they wouldn't have to criss-cross the country. SthMelbRed
^I wasn't aware that it is a set-in-stone rule. As long as the schedule suits both clubs playing and the overall timeline required, I don't see why they should limit themselves to playing Wednesday evenings. Guest Jeffery S.
Just curious about the schedule after. I know they put the dates ahead to move the whole competition ahead, but do they intend to get a preliminary round or even another in before the Gold Cup? Will they actually play Concacaf Champions during Gold Cup, or immediately after? If anyone knows the sched I'd appreciate it.
