I like this lineup.  It gives some of the players normally on the bench a chance to start.

El Salvador not resting players for their "easier" games against Costa Rica and Paraguay. They are starting Ortiz, Cerén and Fisher and trying to see what they can do against us.

My thoughts on the 1st half:

- Lacasse the MVP

- Carle hasn't looked good and made mistakes that would have been punished against better teams

- Canada doing the same short corner routine twice seemed kinda disrespectful but both times it almost worked 😆

My feelings of the game. Obviously a great start and nice to see us scoring.

Interplay with Quinn, Lacasse and Leon was great in the first half.

Prince had an off night and hope she was off as a precaution, nothing more serious.

We were sloppy and slow moving the ball forward for periods of the game but it's also a potentially long tournament to grow into. 

Grosso and Smith looked really great, likewise Buchanan.

Fun game and a great group for us to gel together again as a squad. We need to sharpen up for better opposition though.

El Salvador gave a lot and got well stuck in.

Progression of opponent strength should be good for Canada. Two more group stage matches against sides that rank much better than El Salvador but still a big advantage to Canada, so more opportunity to gradually tighten things up without having to overuse any players. Then presumably followed by a quarterfinal match against one of the weaker remaining teams.
