As I said before, the ratings were sky high thanks to curling. Everyone who thought that it would be watched by a record crowd said that because it was between two big curling matches helped.

Was that case last year as well?  TFC had over 300K viewers in their first two games.

Montreal vs Orlando has less than 130.000 viewers yet 138K watch Bulgaria vs Italy? WTF

Impact would get better numbers on RDS. And IIRC, it was on like TSN5, so only one of the 4  TSN "regionals", so if you only have one TSN and are living West of Pembroke-Petawawa, you watched something else. Bulgaria-Italy was on all Sportsnet regionals.  And you have a lot of Italo-Canadians who will watch it.

I did not know that. I obviously understand a lot of Italo-Canadians would watch it, but I'd think they would also watch Montreal or TFC. That first half was pretty nice.

I do think that they would rather watch Italy or their Itlaian club than watching MLS. I don't get your argument.

No mention of the Caps Saturday night game but TFC v ORL drew 48 000. Up against a dreadful Raps game 4 that was over by the time TFC kicked off and the Sens vs Habs 2nd and 3rd periods.

Yes. You can see the first post of the thread where I am tracking everything.

I would be interested to see a comparison between numbers when MLS is on the main TSN channel vs. TSN2 which is buried deep in most people's cable packages (if they get it at all). I suspect the games on TSN's main channel would be regularly higher

How do they count viewers? Is it still mostly statistical sampling or do they get feedback from the networks as to how much is watched? Does PVRing games count?

From what I've heard PVR does not count in the US or Canada, which is crazy because I always watch sports on PVR delay.

Week 13 ratings: https://ca.sports.yahoo.com/blogs/eh-game/the-great-canadian-ratings-report--memorial-cup-final-a-big-hit-181200698.html

It seems like Chris Zelkovich must have been on vacation or something, because no ratings were posted for a couple of weeks. If somebody knows of someplace else to look for ratings for Week 11 and 12, please let me know. Thanks
