Carreiro is on the bench for Dundee.

edit: Dundee is winning 3-1 and Motherwell is down to ten men. Coach makes three subs at once, no Carreiro. Wow.

So instead of leading the boys to glory, Carreiro rides pine for 90 and watches the club remain firmly mid-table. Infuriating.

Keven Aleman scores a "penalty" - looks like something from the old NASL in some type of competition.  Looks like each team played twice in one day so most teams used all players and Aleman played the full match against Cartagines which ended 0-0 and his team won in a penalty shoot out.

Aleman's play was specifically praised as "outstanding" by another CR media outlet:

Actually Stama is at camp poutine. This was the guy that just signed with Kallithea, James Stamopoulos, I know...confusing. StamO is formerly of TFC academy and Hartford University.

He did actually sub in to the game at around 64 minutes, although on soccerway he was listed as Dimitri Stamopoulos, but I think it's him as it was his first appearance.

Definetly him. Most Greek/Canadians named Dimitri(s) go by the English equivilents of Jim or James. I would make sense for him to revert to his Greek Name while playing in Greece.

America de Cali is involved in a promotion tournament to add two teams to the expanding first division in Colombia. In the "cuadrangulares de ascenso" there are two groups of four with the top team in each group being promoted to the first tier. I believe each team plays each other only once on a neutral site in Bogota.

America played their first game yesterday, tying with Cortulua 1 - 1. David Monsalve did not start but was on the bench.

The group is all square as the other game was also a 1-1 draw. Their second game is on Sunday against Union Magdalena.
