Keegan
Nonni left school to pursue a pro career after last season... Not sure what happened to him, he started off hot as a freshman and looked a guarantee to be an MLS prospect come his draft year
Keegan
Zadro (#58) and Bekker (#37) were named in Top Drawer Soccer's top 100 preseaon players. Bekker seems like a sure bet to be drafted this season based on what we saw at the Olympic qualifiers combined with his college career. I've never seen Zadro play but apparently he's 6'3 with technical skills, could have a future.

Lord Bob
Also, if you're just looking for quality young players to track and not unknown quantities or MLS SuperDraft-eligibles, a number of Whitecaps Residency grads are playing NCAA this year. My personal favourites are goalkeeper Callum Irving, central defender Daniel Stanese, and central defender/midfielder Ben McKendry.

ThiKu
^indeed - guys like Stanese, McKendry, and Irving should be part of a u23 reserve team, or u21 reserve team like in EPL that plays a full season of proper matches. Essa is still u18 eligible right? MLS really needs to sort that out if they truly want the league to progress.
Keegan
What a waste... Really.. not sure about Irving and McKendry but I've always considered Stanese a blue chip prospect
Lord Bob
Yeah, it's too bad there's no other winter option in North America for these 1993 guys (Stanese is a 1994, though; nobody knows why he wanted to go to some low-ranked school in Florida early but he did!). I've ranted about this at some length in the past so I won't go any further than that.
youllneverwalkalone
What a waste... Yes. Never get an education. Particularly an expensive one paid for by kicking a ball around.
ThiKu
Stanese's decision does seem an odd one. But the chance to get a full schol in southern Florida.....too good to pass-up? Maybe he didn't see any future in Vancouver and will use the NCAA to get into the MLS draft and go play somewhere else? Speculation of course. Well, even if Stanese just wants to get the hell out of the Whitecaps system he has/can get an EU passport (eligible for Romania) so he could find a much better way of doing it than a third-rate soccer school. jpg75
For a player like Stanese he's likely heading down there to play 1 season of NCAA and then coming back in the spring to sign a contract with the Caps.
