Norway - Second 2-0 win and shutout for Lars as Vålerenga beat Aalesund to remain top of the table early on. It's great having two Canadian keepers posting regular clean sheets.

France - Haidar on the bench as Nimes lost 1-0 away to Evian-Thonon-Gaillard and slipped to within one point and one position from the relegation zone.

Holland - No Marello in sight as his Veendam drew 1-1 at home to Cambuur.

Simeon Jackson finally gets back on the scoresheet (first since October, I believe) as he comes on at 70 minutes and scores at 75 for Norwich who are romping 4-0 against 10-man S****horpe. Make that two for Jacko, 5-0 now. Post-international high?

Iain Hume also has scored today, a 3rd minute PK, for PNE who are currently level with Swansea. Wow, big day for League Championship strikers. 2 for Hume (83rd minute strike) and it's 2-1 now.

Three goals in twenty minutes is a fairly good strike rate, I'd say. Frankly, I'm not even thinking "this might get him a start" and "this will keep him on the bench and coming into games". I was worried he'd fall out of the squad all together.

England - Peters and Edgar both watched from the bench as Ipswich beat Burnley 2-1. Big loss for at home Burnley that will probably leave them on the outside come playoff time.

- McCallum played 90 as his Lincoln lost 2-0 away to playoff contenders Torquay

Belgium - Radzinski was suspended from Lierse's 0-0 draw with Cercle Bruges in a Europa League play-off match. Great to read that the club is negotiating a new contract with him at season end: http://sport.be.msn.com/nl/jupilerproleague/ploegennieuws/ He just keeps going and going and going and....

Scotland -Inglis played 90 as Elgin lost 1-0 away to Montrose

Turkey - Klukowski played 90 and picked up a yellow as his Ankaragucu drew 6th placed Eskisehirspor 2-2 at home.

Apparently Hart was at Hoilett's game today

He actually met with Hoilett and discussed his potential with CMNT. Time to cap tie him for the Gold Cup!

"The second of Blackburn's North American-qualified players is David Hoilett. Hoilett, who was born in Toronto, has a career that strangely mirrors that of Jones. He arrived in Blackburn in 2007 and was loaned out to two German clubs. He is not as big as Jones but provided the creative spark in several of Blackburn's counter-thrusts. Hoilett has not yet played an international and is eligible for four countries: Canada, Jamaica, England and the United States. ESPN, which broadcast Saturday's match in Britain reported that on Friday, Hoilett met Stephen Hart, the Canadian coach, to discuss playing for the team."

Hoilett is exactly the type of player we need in the squad for World Cup Qualifiers. If Hoilett plays for us, and plays with his heart in it, Canada becomes a much more serious threat for qualification. No doubt in my mind about that.

Denmark - Issey was up front in a two man attack (subbed out on min 75) and Bernier was at LM as Horsens and Nordsjælland remained scoreless. Good sign that Bernier payed 90 in his return to the side.

Switzerland - Imhof played 90 at CM for St. Gallen vs Luzern, down 1-1 final. Speaking of going and going and going...

Germany - Koln 1 vs Nurnberg 0 - Mckenna stayed on the bench

Turkey - Tough outing for Manisaspor as they lose 3-0 at home to Genclerbirligi. Josh played 90.

Portugal - Santa Clara downed 3-0 by 4th placed Gil Vincente (Pacheco played 77 min in midfield)

Norway - Pozniak will be suspended from Haugesund's second match of the season, home to Sarpsborg.
