TFC07
Not looking good for Canada.
ag futbol
Well we faded a lot in the second, the athleticism of the americans is covering the space on the field. Canada looks impatient now trying to build the attack. That being said, I think we built this team the right way.
ThiKu
Aleman's "effort hasn't been a great one." Is this guy drunk!? Aleman is man of the match for Canada!
tmcmurph
Crap. What a shot.
jpg75
Holy crap, nice shot...1-0 USA. First goal we've conceded turns out to be the goal of the tournament.
ThiKu
0-1. I can handle that being the goal that puts us behind. Wow.
Macksam
Well we faded a lot in the second, the athleticism of the americans is covering the space on the field. Canada looks impatient now trying to build the attack. That being said, I think we built this team the right way. Their guys are better conditioned. That can be improved over time for us anyhow. However, I share the sentiment about liking how this team is built.
ThiKu
Bloody hell ref!!!! Gift them a goal and a breakaway! Canada ball in hand, ready to throw and gives it the other way! Players caught out. Ridiculous.
jpg75
****IN' BULL****!!!! That was our throw-in!!!!!! caught with our pants down....thanks ref.
Macksam
**** it. I rather watch Eli Wallach get his life time acheivement Oscar.
tmcmurph
Total lack of concentration on that one. Well it was good experience for them and second is a hell of a good accomplishment. Yes it was a bad call but our player should not have surrendered the ball until everyone was aware and back in position. Oh well, live and learn. canucklefan
Too late to bring in Jalili, why didn't he play earlier? Anyway, as I said before, our boys had to run too much for the ball during the second half, they are burned now.
nolbertos
****...Canada can't catch breaks in extra time. Game is almost over now, with the 2nd extra time goal. I still think the refs don't respect us, and it all starts with the Association body, if we were local powerhouse country like a Mexico and US, we would catch more breaks on fouls, but still the Americans had a good game plan and stuck to it. Still proud of the boys though.
Richard
Don't blame the ref, he's done a good job overall.
canucklefan
Chapman should have scored in the first half when he was facing the keeper alone.

jpg75
Oh ****, Piette hurt himself making the pass out to right flank...no contact on the play, probably twisted his knee or something...maybe a sprained ligament? or maybe not...he's back out, probably just a cramp. Richard
That's just dumb hotheadedness.
jpg75
Lapenna and Oliver (USA) both shown red cards. Means we'll be without our starting left back for the first game of the WC.
Richard
You've got to keep your cool if you're going to win.
jpg75
3-0 now... US forward runs into the space where Lapenna would have been.
Richard
The USA earned that victory.
ag futbol
Well, this one is over. Good run by the team though. Think we lost our composure and stopped playing our game about halfway through the first 45. Bound to happen sometimes with a young team trying to play a sophisticated game.
