Did you have any money on the Canada match?

Yes my bets were:

Canada +180 over the Guats

Mex vs. Haiti over 2 1/2 goals -140

and I reversed Canada and Mexico wins together (reverse is similar to a parly except you can lose 2 bets if both teams lose but the payoff is better if they both win, so if you are fairly sure that at least one of your bets will come in its a good idea.)

It also says so on CONCACAF.com, which does not necessarily mean it is true. :)

Isn't this the same Confederation that faxed in a rule change at half time of the 2003 Gold Cup final?

If I remember correctly Mexico thought that if Brazil beat them in the final, they would still get to go to the Confederations cup for being the best Concacaf nation in the tournament. Rumor has is at the half the Mexicans got a fax saying if they lost to Brazil they would have the play the USA, who won third place, for the right to go to the Confederations cup. The Mexicans won the game so it didn't matter, but I remember them not being happy about the last minute rule change.

I personally prefer those betting to just screw off, I am not interested in it and it has nothing to do with sport. If you do it, do it privately and don't let me in on it. I bet on the pools and it is my business, but I don't go around telling everyone I want Elche to beat Gijon so I can win 80 euros. It's banal and boring, and has nothing to do with this thread.

Glad to see Haiti has that sharp keeper.

See how the ref changed his shirt, I suppose the red was causing confusing with the Haiti shorts?

Villus what were the odds for the canada game?

On my sportsbook which is probably the same to most:

Guatemala +125

Canada +180

Draw +220

Obviously I think that Canada should'nt have been an underdog just based on the fact they needed a win for any chance, Guats were through and were resting their starters most likely.

There are some really good situations to make money if you follow obscure soccer tournaments like this one or even the u-20 WC some of the lines were awful, for example I made a huge bet on Chile vs Portugal in the knockout stages when they had Portugal as the favourite in that game.

I really don't see why you should have a huge problem if I posted that information. Just did'nt want people wondering why I'm cheering for more mexico goals.
