AvroArrow
Gilberto pokes the ball into Chicago's net in extra time but it is disallowed by the ref due to a foul. I'm just trying to figure out what the foul was? Gilberto did come through the legs of the Chicago defender from the back, but I don't know if you would qualify that as a slide tackle from behind. I don't really know what other foul could have been called on that play, as there didn't seem to be any extra pushing or shoving going on. Any refs out there who could shed some light? Ivan
There was no foul. That was a brutal call. No surprise though, seeing its the second brutal call vs. the Fire this year that has cost TFC points. I may feel better about it in the morning, still fuming right now. AvroArrow
Hey Michael Bradley, tell us how you really feel about the call at the end of the game http://www.torontofc.ca/video/2014/09/14/michael-bradley-september-13-2014
youllneverwalkalone
Never, but I do wonder what the league will do to Bradley. Classic thinking would be they have to back Gantar up even though he's incompetent, but why? Can't we start bringing over a few more pro refs from Europe like that Irish guy? Do we really need Gantar?
tmcmurph
Not a foul IMHO. I'd agree with Bradley's assessment. It will be interesting if the league does anything to Bradley. MLS does not like honesty from players about refs.
shermanator
Bradley's right. MLS refs are simply not good enough.
Ivan
^ It goes further than that. I have been saying what Bradley initially said for 8 years. Canadian refs (especially Gantar and Petrescu) go out of their way to the point of obviousness that they are not biased for Canadian teams that they end up consistently screwing over TFC, Impact and VWFC. I almost have come to think MLS likes it that way.

Grizzly
No one would mistake me for a TFC fan but that is a goal. If the slight contact that Gantar is saying was a push is a foul then there would be hundreds of fouls every game. Defender got burned simple as that. coppercanuck
Not a foul ... there were worse tackles not called earlier.
Blackdude
On first sight, I thought that it was a foul. After watching other angles, it clearly wasn't. So, not surprised that Gantar called it, because if you have a bad angle, you can think that it's a foul. He only gets on view, remember.
shamrock
Of course it wasn't a foul. But instead of blaming the ref, maybe they should have started a bit more more agressively and not wait until the last 10 minutes of the game to go for the win. I mean, they waisted an entire first half IMO. Then you take a chance that not everything will go in your way.

I think you missed the point there. Shamrock means that people should focus on the things the team has control. A blown ref call is something TFC has no control about it.
