Alberto7
RDS.ca is announcing that Matt Jordan has retired. No details at this time but I would imagine he is getting a job with the Impact coaching staff http://www.rds.ca/impact/chroniques/314188.html edit: He has been named director of Soccer operations for the Impact. Nick De Santis is now Sports Director (whatever that means)
loyola
It will be interesting to see who they bring in to replace Jordan (Gaudette?). Also, Impact fans, who was the best keeper for MTL, Sutton or Jordan?
tmcmurph
Steady as a rock but much more agile Best wishes to him.
shawn_strat
My kids will be sad, Jordan is their favourite player. He was a great player, tons of class. Best wishes!
Keegan
Sutton should go back to Montreal for this year, give it a go and see if he can be a starter for the Impact. At worst then he is back where he started, as a back up in MLS. He was apparently good in his few matches with New York and was pretty good I thought at the 2009 Gold Cup. To whoever asked above, Jordan left a much greater mark on Montreal than sutton.
Kurosawa1555362267
Comparing Sutton and Jordan is like comparing apples and oranges, they have different personalities and the context in wich they played was different. Yes, Sutton was good, very good. But Jordan shone a bit more because of the victory in the Canadien Championship, the Champions League run and the 2009 USL Championship. Sure...if Jordan was the orange and sutton the rotten apple. Sutton was gifted the best defense in the league years running. Jordan played with a broken face. The reason why you can't compare the two is because Jordan was on a whole other level. Props to sutton, but, a bland personality, with a great D, and a departure to TORONTO, vs an energetic, acrobatic, tough as nails player who's love of the fans only falls behind his love to his family and his team.
