He did not play in the last few exhibition games but I also found an article saying he had moved up to the senior side.

I am really looking forward to August 21st and hoping he gets to start the game. It would be an incredible vote of confidence since he basically made the jump from 5th division to 2nd in one off-season.

Adam Straith has started in central defense for Cottbus, who are currently level 0-0 with TuS Heeslingen in the first half. Kevin McKenna is also in the centre of defense for Koeln, who lead 1-0 in the first half against ZFC Meuselwitz.

Both matches are part of the DFB Pokal (German FA Cup).

Preussen Münster and Kickers Offenbach are both playing today in the cup, and both available on atdhe. good opportunity to watch JBB or Occean

I'm watching Kickers Offenbach right now and OO is easily the best player on the pitch so far. Bochum are having a tough time to defend him and he's been denied by a very good save from their keeper. OO is pretty good at offering support to the midfield by holding onto the ball or making nice passes. He's being used as a lone striker in a 4-5-1. 0-0 after 32 min.

Google Translation (somewhat comical Headline) - http://www.hr-online.de/website/rubriken/sport/index.jsp?rubrik=55641&key=standard_document_39592073

Kickers shoot himself in round two

The Offenbacher Kickers continue their winning streak in the DFB Cup. In its Erstrundenpartie against Bundesliga VfL Bochum relegated the Kickers the enemy swept 3-0 by almost Bieberer mountain.

Wolfgang Wolf has decided the duel with his longtime friend, Friedhelm Funkel for themselves. Nicolas Feldhahn had shot the Kickers in the lead (33), Steffen Haas presented after the half-time whistle. Denis Berger rewarded his performance with the 3-0 (83) A closed strong team performance and the advantage of match practice ensured the clear success of the supposed outsider.

The cash register rings Kickers

"The victory is fully equal to that amount in order. We played very disciplined and well-varied," said Andreas Möller. "The team is strengthened," enthused the OFC sports manager who can look forward to the next round of € 250,000 in revenues. "We had no chance and deserve to lose this level," declared against VfL Manager Thomas Ernst.

Just over 12 000 spectators, the Kickers took over from the start to the game control. With seven goal shots in the first fifteen minutes the home side made neat printing. In particular, the new darling of the OFC fans, Olivier Occean, caused much Torgefahr. But Bochum's goalkeeper Philipp Heerwagen was - wide awake as the sole of his team - this afternoon and kept the second division in the residue. For the first time with new signing came dangerously Bochum Chong Tese before the gate keeper Robert Wulnikowski. But his rebound after a corner landed at the OFC-post (29). It should be the only real scoring chance for Bochum.

Subtitle of a picture of OO: Again, one of the best in the OFC: Olivier Occean.

Eddy Sidra? Any news on what his plans are for the upcoming season. If he has any hope of playing in the two friendlies this September he's gotta get a club soon. And for such a promising player it really is disappointing to see him out of action at 21.

Don't think this was mentioned yet, but JBB played the first 84 minutes of Preussen Munster's loss, 2-1 to 1.Bundesliga side Wolfsburg.

It also seems Straith took a knock near the end of his match, but couldn't be substituted because 3 switches had already been made:

Schließlich quälte sich auch Innenverteidiger Adam Straith über die Runden, konnte mit einer Verletzung an der Hüfte kaum noch laufen. Da das Wechselkontingent jedoch erschöpft war, biss der Kanadier auf die Zähne.

Hopefully it's not serious.

JBB made the highlights on Fox Sports World with a fine header forcing a save from Wolfburg's keeper in the first half. All the scoring came late in the 2nd, with Muenster drawing level 1-1 but falling at the end 2-1, Dzeko in on all 3 goals (assist, own goal and scored the winner).

Hope young Adam is fine.

Janeil Hoillet went 90 as an attacking m/f with Mainz 05 U19's in the opening round of the A Junioren Bundesliga this past weekend. Weird to see no Cdns on the Energie Cottbus U19's, who also opened on the weekend.

Graham Fisher (Calgary) and Srjdan Gajic (Edmonton) are with Rot-Weiss Erfurt U19s', who open this coming weekend.

Well, look at who is interested in our Canadian striker:

http://www.kicker.de/news/fussball/bundesliga/startseite/541185/artikel_96-beobachtet-Occean.html

Apparently, Hannover 96 of the B1 are monitoring OO performances closely these days.

what a move that would be!

This is why it is better for OO to be in German D3 than Norway. Nevertheless, this is a highly unlikely move. Hannover is having some financial problems and were interested in another striker who was in Norway but can't affored the transfer fee. OO is being looked at as a cheaper solution but I don't think he will be cheaper. This summer Offenbach signed one of Germany's top coaches and several players in addition to OO who were well above D3 quality. They were promotion favourites at the beginning of the year and have certainly justified that prediction so far. They look like they are shooting for B1 in the near future not just B2. I don't see them giving up OO unless Hannover or another team is willing to break the bank to buy him since he seems to be a big part of their ticket into B2 next year. In the long run it is probably better for OO to stick with Offenbach as well.

Some good people with the Offenbach club. This is just pie in the sky stuff from Hannover who were in terrible straits economically and now even worse after blowing their first round DFB Pokal game.
