loyola
http://www.impactsoccer.com/ Maybe Sutton is going to join Lars and Kenny in Norway. those 2 clubs are newly promoted.
David C.
Maybe he's been reading the Daniel Fernandes thread and wants to end the Greg vs. Lars argument, once and for all.
Kurosawa1555362267
I don't mind Sutton going in Norway, I think it's about time, but I'm not very happy with the part that says that Andrew Olivieiri is out of the picture and that the Impact would hire Preston Burpo. loyola
I'm dissapointed for Olivieri, he was a very promising keeper, maybe too short. Do you know if he stopped playing soccer or find another club?
Gian-Luca
I thought Saputo wasn't going to let this sort of thing happen?

What the Impact said was that they would'nt let this sort of thing happen in the middle of the season like last year with Gerba and Grande after the Gold Cup. Grizzly
Burpo is a solid replacement for Sutton but I would rather see Olivieri get the spot. Good that Sutton is moving up and that the Impact will probably get a decent transfer fee for him.
Cheeta
If true, well good then. It was mentioned in another thread that Sutton's lack of ambition doesn't really make a strong argument for his quality no matter what you think of his on-field abilities. And I subscribe to that train of thought. If he's willing to test his mettle in a more competative enviroment day in and day out then good on him. Maybe overdue but everybodys different and we all know 'keepers have way longer shelf lives than the out field players. Quite sure the Impact locked up Sutton through to the end of 2008 so somebody will be paying a transfer fee. Doesn't look like it's going to be Toronto though. Not at least, at this point. Geezus, those Vikings are kicking the **** out of Quebec and they haven't even launched one long boat yet...
nolando
Reminds me of Onstad, to be honest. Maybe Sutton will stick in Europe, or at least have a decent kick at the can. I can't honestly see him losing any market value in the effort. And who knows, maybe the USL Season will start and Montreal will be hurting for him, just as he is looking for a way back into the club after an unsuccessful trial. Whatever the outcome, it's long overdue, indeed.
sj
Who would get the transfer money if the Impact was in the MLS Saputo or the league?
loyola
According to an Impact fan on their forum, the interested club would be Start Kristiansand.

Greg Sutton confirmed himself today that IK Start were interested in him. Right now he is waiting to see if something will materialize from that interest. youllneverwalkalone
What's the Southside going to do without Burpo? For those who value high comedy, this is a sad day indeed.
