youllneverwalkalone
quote:Originally posted by beachesl Anybody know if the Imhoff family have a Swiss background? In FM, Daniel and Dominic have Swiss passports. I would assume Mr Imhof is Swiss and that the boys do have Swiss passports as it's not the easiest country to get a work permit. Which brings me to my latest querry: Alain Rochat, a Swiss/Canadian LB for Young Boys. He has a bunch of U21 caps for Switzerland, but nothing at the senior level. Is he eligible for Canada and does Yallop know about him? Seems like it would be worth a phone call.

No, ineligible unless he has applied before the end of 2004 to play for Canada, as he is now 22 (have to change now before your 21 birthday). dob source: http://www.bscyb.ch/htm/02_1mannschaft.htm

Kurosawa1555362267
I've talked with some people on the Olympiques d'Ales supporter forum and they told me that Serge Epoh was not there anymore, he is playing in a lower league right now. A guy there still has contact with him and told me that I may be able to get in touch with Serge to get an update in a week or two.
beachesl
http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/h/heart_of_midlothian/4277799.stm Stamp and McKenna to leave Hearts Phil Stamp will wave goodbye after three years at Hearts Midfielder Phil Stamp and versatile Canada defender Kevin McKenna are to leave Hearts at the end of the season. The cash-strapped club can no longer afford their wages, while McKenna wishes to move from Tynecastle. Head coach John Robertson said: "Kevin and Phil's wages could see us bring in three or four players. "They signed contacts when the club was paying big money, but now we have to pay sensible money. They have accepted the situation." The 29-year-old Stamp joined Hearts from Middlesbrough in 2002, while 25-year-old McKenna, who can also play in attack, arrived a year earlier from Energie Cottbus. "They are still in the squad, but they'll go at the end of the season," said Robertson of the two first-team regulars. "They've done nothing wrong, but we are bringing in other players and changing the style of play. "In Kevin's case, he wants to move elsewhere. "In Phil's case, he is on a good salary, but we feel we can't facilitate that any more." Meanwhile, Robertson was hopeful of holding on to midfielder Paul Hartley, whose contract ends in 2007 but was a January target for Celtic. "If Celtic don't come back, we hope to tie Paul down on a long-term contact that will see him finish his career here," added Robertson
Guest Ed
Best news for McKenna in a couple of years. Scotland may be his ancestral home but a wasteland for his development. Back to decent pilsner next season I hope.

maxG
Yes Mika has been playing for the reserves when he isn't playing for the 1st team, his lack of 1st team appearances may have to do with the fact that the 1st team coach hasn't been to ONE reserve match all season!
