Although the York meltdown was gratifying to see, these kinds of performances were too few and far between for Valour. Happy for Gutierrez that he's shown up on the scoresheet a few times this year with all the work he does.

What does he do, exactly, that impresses you? Rarely an offensive contribution and far too slow to do any real defensive work.

watch more closely...great in tight spaces...for example won a foul near his box in the second with opponent closing in...in the first half cleanly got a good pass out of a very tight space in his half...end of game again receives and easily gets out and spreads...second half gave a great ball to campbell that should have been a goal

He has the occasional moment but for he me he's like Teibert was with the Caps before they stopped playing him. Has the appearance of competence in some areas but so limited in athleticism that there's really not much there.

I also can't overlook that Valour's season going completely down the tubes coincided with his insertion into the lineup. Obviously there is a tonne of blame to go around but he deserves his share.
