Soccerpro2
One shot on net for Valour. One shot. People ask "How come more people dont come out to watch Valour?" Answer: Have never made the CPL playoffs, likely won't again this year, and never score so the games aren't fun, either. johnyb, PegCityCam and K Edgar 1

Spending at the salary floor rather than the cap will do that if the rumours are accurate. Usually can't make it through more than 10 minutes of a Valour game but managed a complete half with this one. Think Ottawa's playing surface plays more like natural turf. IG Field has an old NASL-era astro sort of vibe to it and the gridiron is too visible. Edited July 9, 2023 by Ozzie_the_parrot

Cheeta
^ Think IG Field's turf is reaching the end of its life cycle, thank Gawd. Whatever replaces it will be next gen. and hopefully better thought out (with footie more in mind, amongst other things). Have to say Valour are playing the best football of their existence but for all that just aren't equipped to net goals. We don't find our selves in this place by surprise and we won't be removing our selves from it either without adjustments. I doubt adjustments are forth coming and by that I mean bringing in players. Mores the pity because PDS has put together a better than decent young core here. Just missing that one piece of the puzzle. Full marks to Atletico, slow start to the season but they're hitting their stride now. Were unlucky today and still came away with a 2-nil home win. Cheeta
P.S. A Valour positive is they seemed more open to playing for corners today. That's something. They need to work on their corners, a lot, but the effort it's a positive sign. Recognizes a need.
