Thank goodness Sirois stood still on that one.

Deflected. Nothing he could do. Should go as an own goal, likely won't.

Edit: Never mind. That was just bad.

Sirois might be the most overrated player in CPL aside from Bustos.

Some general thoughts;

You know, yesterday's match was a couple of goal line scrambles away from being a draw.  Yikes.

Thank Gawd for the corporate seats.  People aren't showing up but at least those empty seats are paid for.  That's something in the way of revenue.

Damnit.  ComeOn app buggered up and my bets didn't register.  Daddy would have made some money.

Speaking of numbers.  Three match home stand and Valour take two of a possible nine points.  Charming.  Think that's what they should call Valour's house lager at IG Field, 329.  Flavourless, flat, and served in a plastic beer cup for the sort of client that appreciates that sort of.. thing.

Usually move down to The Trench at half time, plenty of room for squatters there these days, and have to say by the hour-ish mark the gloom turns around.  It can be great fun just shitting on everybody.  Really helps the spirits.  Lets see, amongst other things we're trying to get Stephen Hoyle back, Rob Gale re-hired, and oh yeah, you beat us a home?  Big effing deal.

Could you hear the "Shut up Wheeler!" clap, clap, clap-clap-clap chant towards the end of the match?

We're coming for you next, Jenkins.

Just spitballing, is there a single Valour player with a professional resume that measures up to even the most average Cavalry player, say, Charlie Trafford?

I can't even blame the coaches. Valour simply doesn't have any good players.

Harsh!  Valour has some quality players -- Rea, Akio, Levis, Dyer -- we have seen what they are capable of.  The team just hasn't been able to put it together this year (except for the one game vs Ottawa).  Valour was missing most of their midfield -- Ohin, Gutierrez, Fordyce, add AJB (and Rendon, Ascanio) to that list and the outcome was predictable.

A few players -- Esparza, Riggi -- need to step-up or depart.  A few others -- Dyer, Akio -- need to play to their potential.  The defense needs AJB, without him the offense need 3+ goals every game!
