Wippersuna
I don’t want to be dramatic but that start to the game was the worst part of my day. At least if we are stuggling we can make some… subs…

I say this, but I also firmly believe Cavalry are the best team in CPL by some distance. Will be a struggle to keep it close.

jonovision
A second own goal but Levis wears that one.

Should go as an own goal, likely won't. Edit: Never mind. That was just bad. Sirois might be the most overrated player in CPL aside from Bustos. jonovision
I can't even hate this Cavalry team, because unlike year 1, where their modus operandi was to push to the max the league's ethos at the time of "we don't call fouls", this time is just simply very good. Wippersuna
On a brighter note the team looks like they’re trying to be more aggressive today (though it hasn’t paid off). At least it’s funish. Levis really helping run the attack.
jonovision
Kind of unfortunate that yet another Valour home game this season is being played in a windstorm. A gale, if you will.
Cheeta
OK, the Timbits kickabouts are getting louder cheers then most of that 1st half LOL. Bugger me... johnyb
jonovision
Calgary's 3rd was miles offside. Can't believe it was missed.

jonovision
This is the worst performance in Valour history. Worse than Cavalry 8 Valour 0. Sirois awful, Romeo playing like a 7 year old. Bison44
jonovision
One has to LOL at the Cavalry bench yelling to give Ponce a yellow for kicking the ball out. While up 4-1. Such trash. johnyb
jonovision
Just spitballing, is there a single Valour player with a professional resume that measures up to even the most average Cavalry player, say, Charlie Trafford?

I slowed it down on the replay and I think his arm at the very least was offside, it was pretty close in slow mo/paused.
jonovision
I can't even blame the coaches. Valour simply doesn't have any good players. johnyb
Soccerpro2
Attendance is going to continue to decline. This team is horrible. Games aren't even really fun to go to anymore. johnyb

Cheeta
Some general thoughts; You know, yesterday's match was a couple of goal line scrambles away from being a draw. Yikes. Thank Gawd for the corporate seats. People aren't showing up but at least those empty seats are paid for. That's something in the way of revenue. Damnit. ComeOn app buggered up and my bets didn't register. Daddy would have made some money. Speaking of numbers. Three match home stand and Valour take two of a possible nine points. Charming. Think that's what they should call Valour's house lager at IG Field, 329. Flavourless, flat, and served in a plastic beer cup for the sort of client that appreciates that sort of.. thing. Usually move down to The Trench at half time, plenty of room for squatters there these days, and have to say by the hour-ish mark the gloom turns around. It can be great fun just shitting on everybody. Really helps the spirits. Lets see, amongst other things we're trying to get Stephen Hoyle back, Rob Gale re-hired, and oh yeah, you beat us a home? Big effing deal. Could you hear the "Shut up Wheeler!" clap, clap, clap-clap-clap chant towards the end of the match? We're coming for you next, Jenkins. The team just hasn't been able to put it together this year (except for the one game vs Ottawa). Valour was missing most of their midfield -- Ohin, Gutierrez, Fordyce, add AJB (and Rendon, Ascanio) to that list and the outcome was predictable. A few players -- Esparza, Riggi -- need to step-up or depart. A few others -- Dyer, Akio -- need to play to their potential. The defense needs AJB, without him the offense need 3+ goals every game! johnyb
