Forge look a tired and frustrated side, I am not sure if they will be able to pull this back in The Hammer, maybe if it is freezing cold that will help but this  Santos team in fairness looks skilled and tactically aware! Forge have just too many fixtures to realistically compete in 3 competitions, not enough depth all round, the team is unbalanced and that showed tonight with Grant and Henry having poor matches and no real options to replace them!

Was a really sloppy effort, but I still think we could've potted 1 or 2 more goals. With big games against both Montreal and Santos coming up, need to do our best job of rotating the squad in the two matches vs. HFX.

 

Good news is that Babouli should be back after that stupid red card, Tissot is supposedly close to returning and can hopefully provide some rest for Johnny Grant/Awuah. Where the hell is Dejan Jakovic though?

They mentioned on a OneSoccer broadcast about 3 weeks ago that he was close to returning, still no sign of him even on the subs bench, he has been a big loss as he was signed to replace Edgar and anchor the defence, others have had to play out of position in his absence!

Is he in any kind of playing shape? And does he even want to play any more?

Edgar has been retired for a year, he retired for a reason, his body can't take it anymore, to think he could just step in and play at this level even if he was willing is ridiculous IMHO! Forge have other options at CB (Achianoti Jonnson, Metusala), with so many games coming up these options will have to be used, Jonnson is needed in the midfield and Metusala although he has played well at times is inexperienced!
