I get this feeling that Conembol is getting tired of playing each other over and over again. And want alternative preparations, but everyone isn't available. Concacaf needs to sort out the Gold Cup frequency. With Nations Leagues it has become redundant in having two "major tournament finals" in the same year. It may need to change to an U23 tournament in the "off years" for some value.
