shamrock
Well it would make perfect sense and TFC has the money. The current send a couple of players to Wilmington and retrieve them after a short amount of time ain't working.
Ruffian
I would not call Wilmington a failure. Jordan Hamilton was able to show that he was worth playing time in Portugal 2nd div and also Q got a lot of playing time that he would not have gotten. shamrock
I didn't call it a failure. I just think it will be better to have such an affiliate nearby, so you can call a player back at any point.
gigi riva
Have the USL team located in my Hometown of Guelph. But seriously they should be having a team locally. only makes sense.

Levi Oakey
An update. Looks like Barry MacLean has convinced the TFC brass to move the USL Pro side to Waterloo. At least temporarily. http://www.canadiansoccernews.com/index.php?/page/articles.html/_/24th-minute/sources-barry-maclean-to-operate-tfc-usl-pro-side-in-waterloo-r4883
ag futbol
They are going to let this guy, who is a player agent as well, operate club? When will these guys ever learn?
shamrock
Is he still a player agent?
Levi Oakey
He is still the agent of many players. Including Jay Chapman, Geoff Cameron and others.
Keegan
He is still the agent of many players. Including Jay Chapman, Geoff Cameron and others. Well I guess we'll see Chapman sign a homegrown deal with TFC at least so that's good news.
shamrock
Well yeah maybe so, but in that case I wouldn't have him manage any team. Conflicting interests are paramount.
Blackdude
Well I guess we'll see Chapman sign a homegrown deal with TFC at least so that's good news. I thought that Chapman left TFC so he would need to enter the draft. Ives Galarcep wrote that Chapman was among his best draft prospects, and he even mentioned that homegrown are ommited from that process.
ag futbol
Well yeah maybe so, but in that case I wouldn't have him manage any team. Conflicting interests are paramount. Conflicts everywhere with this one. Simply unbelievable. You trust someone to assemble the best list of prospects possible, but that same person can directly benefit from pushing to sign his own clients. A smart organization would never set up a structure this way. If he wants to coach the team, tell him to give up the agent gig. I am looking forward to the day someone writes a book on this club and how perpetually stupid they are.
