Caps vs St Louis

1-0 for the Caps but it wasn't that close. Lots of chances for the Caps and most of the play and possession. New CB scored and apparently broke his ankle. Wes Knight also subbed out injured. Hopefully better soon.

The NASL video stream was bad in the first half but got a bit better in the second half. It was at least watchable in the second half. The play by play was good and didn't have any problems so it was sort of like radio with delayed pictures. Growing pains for the new league.

Third clean sheet to start the season. Thursday will be the real test as the Caps travel to Portland.

How'd he do?

REB did real good. The coach said after the game that he isn't ready for a full 90 yet but they are increasing his time with an eye on his age and development pace. When he was on the field you could see the difference it makes compared to when he was off. Haber also played an excellent holding forward role with excellent possession and not losing the ball when he had to stall until the midfielders could get up on the play.

Good omen for our MNT in the future I say!

Gage was played at centre mid with Nash last year... but now he is competing for midfield spots against Jonny Steele, Ricardo Sanchez, Nizar Khalfan, a *finally* healthy Justin Moose, Wes Knight and Luca Bellisomo, to name a few. The Caps are quite deep at midfield and defence, with many players experienced and capable at both roles. I'd say this reflects more on the Caps' depth than issues with his ability. The kid turns 19 this year. If need be, the team can get him more playing time on the academy team.
