Tintin
After not being able to watch the WCQ match on TV yesterday, do I now not get to see the Montréal-Vancouver cup game on TV tomorrow as well? I was looking at the list that piltdownman (excellent post, by the way) did, and that match has no TV listed at all.

Blue and White Army
Can someone cap the English-language broadcast of this match? Would be much appreciated.
Massive Attack
Can you suggest some good software and I will try to do it. WM Recorder? It would be good if there was some back-up though.
Blue and White Army
WM Recorder would do... or Replay AV... or you could use Total Recorder at the same time as your media player is open... Actually, I'll try to record it on my laptop here at my Montreal hostel while I'm at the match. I'm not sure how reliable the internet bandwidth is here though, as it seems th clog up with BitTorrent packets towards the evening.
Massive Attack
Thanks. I'll try Total Recorder. I haven't done a stream rip in a long time.
Blue and White Army
Team 990 will have the match, with a 30-minute pre-match show starting at 7pm: http://www.team990.com/section/view/?fnode=11 ...or, if you need a direct URL rip for recording purposes: http://streaming2.wecreate.com:8080/team990_48.mp3 http://streaming6.wecreate.com:8080/team990_48.mp3
DJT
I always record matches between Canadian clubs, video and audio. Wouldn't mind having a backup.
Massive Attack
DJT, would you mind releasing it? I'll simply record it for back up purposes if that's alright with you.
bettermirror
maybe i should leave work early today so i can get home and listen to it!!!!
Tintin
That's what I was afraid of. This is ridiculous.
piltdownman
CBC has the rights correct? Same as Soccer day in Canada ... CBC only cares about Toronto.

Considering that the Vancouver v TFC match also has no TV sort of means thats not necessarily true.
martinm182
So this game isn't televised at all? Will there be a delay? I just rushed home from work where I was listening on the Team 990 only to listen to it on the team 990 once again. What a joke.
Tuscan
So is it the Impact's fault for not securing any type of television coverage, or do the networks just not care? One would think that with the success and publicity TFC have received due to the television contracts they have, that it is foolish for Montreal to not have any type of television coverage nationally at all. Do the Impact want to keep themselves centered more around a Quebec audience rather than promote themselves nationally?
MegasAlexandros1555362277
I don't think it's the Impact's fault. They have a TV deal with Radio-Canada(SRC), a national network, for their USL games. The question is, who has the rights for the Voyageur Cup matches?? I might be wrong, but I think it might be RSN???. Regardless, it is up to the networks to get of their butts and televise these games.

The individual teams do not negotiate coverage for cup games. The Impact have a national TV contract with SRC for their USL games.
youllneverwalkalone
Have to wonder what Nigel & JDV are up to on Tuesday? Maybe the broadcast is more expensive to put together than I would think, but what's the point of having this Bold channel if you're not going to show stuff like this? I think the big question is how much sponsorship funding did Nutrilite actually put into the tournament. Somebody has to actually pay the production costs. You can't expect CBC to pay out $75k in production costs if there no hope of getting a reasonable amount of that money back via title sponsorship or revenue from commercials. I'd bet that Bold doesn't charge more than $100 for 30 seconds! Nobody watches. That's why they changed it from Country Canada. Nobody watched it either. youllneverwalkalone
Spend the $75k for the Vs!!! That's somewhere between $100-350 per head. Surely some of my thousands of tax dollars could cover my share. If they can't get enough from Vitamins, sell out to alcohol & tabacco, or penis pills. Whatever it takes, that's my motto. Blue and White Army
Couldn't the Impact have put this on USLlive.com for fairly cheap? They already have the TV cameras to do this, no?
