bettermirror Posted September 5, 2004 Share Posted September 5, 2004 i say send in our u20's or olympic team if we have to continue with this competition. if the CSA does nothing more than post an article or make a news release then i will try and get a ticket refund for costa rica and never watch canada in person again until the csa has shown me they give a **** about our players and fans. Canada MUST demand European referee's for the remainder of qualifying. How is an American ref more bias toward us than a Mexican referee is toward the Hondurans? And the CSA better do something about this. They should launch long and loud protests to anyone who will listen. But will they? Probably not, and we will continue to have biased refs. That's why I suggest we send our U-20's or A-League All-Star's. This World Cup Qualifying is a complete waste of time and our boys deserve better. Those of us in the Voyageur section knew that some trouble was brewing when we found out that all the officials were Mexican.[}] No doubt they are already out of town as they would be dead meat from fans. The bad calls certainly stoked the tension between us and the Honduran fans in the next section. As me and another Voyageur were stating, how can we promote the game in Canada when things like this happen. This was too much like the Canada-Mexico game here in Edmonton during the '98 WCQ.
