Mainly because French territories around the world take part (including Concacaf nations like Martinique and Guadalupe). A club from St. Pierre and Miquelon has traveled to France to take on a 7th tier squad in the Cup. RJB Posted November 4, 2023 Share Posted November 4, 2023 I was in St Pierre this summer when they played the final that sent ASAP to France. Unfortunately we got the ferry the same day so couldn't catch the game, but there was a buzz on the island. It's fascinating that they have a three team league that plays a full season - 18 games I think. I also think they have a local Cup, and play the French FA cup too.
