Joey Saputo apologizes...........

Recommended Posts

.......during the HT show between Vancouver and Montreal today. It was a very sincere apology, and Joey Saputo said for "the first time in his life, he was embarrassed to walk through Stade Saputo."

He apologized to the Vancouver Whitecaps and fans, and said in no way did they mean to throw the game.

He said for the first time in his life, he went to the players room and told them it was a disgraceful performance.

Garber's playing the game.

He also said San Antonio was a lock for expansion. MLS actually issued a release welcoming San Antonio into the league. That was years ago.

Cleveland was "on track" to join Toronto as an expansion side in 2007. Where are they now>? Drawing flies in the USL.

In other words, nothing is final until it's final. Well, unless you're a team that needs to score three or four goals in a half to advance, then it's only final if you play against teams not named Montreal. :D

There's a bit of a difference comparing

and San Antonio. Sure, he plays the game, but its evident when he is just speaking, and when he's dealing with a city who actually has a realistic shot at joining the league.
