David C.
Well, it will be interesting to see how the 4 teams react over Labour Day weekend games. Will we make the adjustments required to get back into the race, or fall flat and die? Are Guatemala a flash in the pan, or a team out to prove something? Personally, I think that Honduras is the team to be afraid of. I am more worried about them than the Costa Ricans, right now.

Costa Rica seem to to be in a mess, but they are still dangerous, if they can get a couple of results going their way then look out.

RS
quote:Originally posted by Mimglow Ummm, kinda like Canada? Nah, Canada's out of it. But Costa Rica, who lost at home by a larger margin, is still dangerous. Makes sense to me.

redhat
quote:Originally posted by soccerbeast Correct me if im wrong did not Costa Rica score two goals in their match? How many did Canada score? Yes Costa Rica scored 2, and let in 5. That's a minus-3 For Canada you know the score. If you're not trying to cause dissention, what are you actually accomplishing? This is a Canadian supporters' forum. You definitely demonstrate something else. Why don't you just tell De Vos, Stalteri, De Guzman, and De Rosario to give up? You obviously know everything, by showing up ONCE at an MNT match (in 2000, by the way), and watching all those rare MNT games at Sportsnet. Great guy you are!! soccerbeast
The fact South western Ontario don't get games played here, that makes sportsnet the only option. Theose other players i like, just like most of the National teams players, the only ones i do have problems with are Raz,and Pesch. no one else, ok Frank but he's not a player. Thats not the only Canada game iv been to I have aslo seen Canada play, Scotland, Italy, Mexico (2). If the CSA start getting matches in sothern Ontario i will go until then....it's up to them. You didn't show up in Kingston? That's what, only 4 hours away? Many of the supporters here travelled to Boston, Miami, etc. But why diss us for our opinions? We are supporters aren't we? What kind of supporter are you to tell everyone to give up after only one game? BTW, can't afford a seat sale on Jetsgo or WestJet? Many supporters like Current Champ flew to Kingston and Vancouver on their own dime. Do we have to wait for the CSA if we really want to support our team? I understand and share your frustration, but there must be a better avenue than just B-itching all the time ...

Look at the Athens games, are athletes are doing worse then in Sydney, yet they kept the status quo and lokk at the disgusting results Canada's bringing in. Rednecks, contrary to popular belief, inhabit ALL parts of Canada. (Notice how SoccerBeast has yet to tangle directly with any of his critics? Sounds like he's gnawed off more than he can chew.) El Hombre
quote:Originally posted by soccerbeast How are we going to get the CSA to improve the team if we don't complain? Complaining doesn't help matters, offering solutions does. So far, out of all your posts, the only solution you've put forward with any consistency is one that is impossible (ie. fire yallop and reinstate Osieck). There's a huge difference between constructive criticism and complaining. One helps, the other is just annoying.

Dude, your spelling and grammar are atrocious. We are not language Nazis here, but your writing is driving me frickin nuts. Yes, I told a friend yesterday that you, Soccer Bitch, are the type of "fan" that would consider anything other than a gold, silver or bronze as an extreme failure from Canada's Olympic team. Get real. Yes, we want more medals. Yes, we need to fund our teams better, but don't crap all over our national soccer team AFTER ONE GAME. We still have 5 games to play. Why are you giving up so easily? And why am I still responding to your inane posts?

If the players can't get up for a big WCQ game in their own country why expect us fans to keep the faith? It's like the last wcq campaign all over again, we lost the first one at home and it went down hill from there, see a pattern forming here? Until the players and manager show some sign of life that they want to go to Germany 2006, im not going to get excited just to be let down again. As i have asked other posters, and still have not received an answer to,,After the Guatemala game what do we have to be positive about? the manager? the Players? the fact we have to win 4 out of 5 just to have a hope of getting through, do you think this team can pull that off, when they can't win at home?
