PaulV
quote:Originally posted by JayWay Paul, Where is Elgin sports located? Bank Street at Albert (I think; I always get Albert and Slater mixed up). It's on the ground floor of the building with the Telus logo. Great selection of soccer and rugby replica shirts (and sportswear in general). JayWay
Indeed I've gotten four requests for digicam shots in the past hour. I feel like a 16 year old highschool girl.

Blue and White Army
I've got a hard time believing there isn't a single photo of the new kit out there. Adidas? CSA? Sport Chek? Sport Mart? Elgin Sports? ....
Blue and White Army
Subside.co.uk has some of the new 2004-05 Adidas kits in, but no Canada. The China away shirt should give us a fair idea what the new Canada top looks like: 04-05 China Away shirt 04-05 China Home shirt http://www.subsidesports.com/uk/images/product/xlarge/ChinaHSS0405.jpg 04-05 Australia Home http://www.subsidesports.com/uk/images/product/xlarge/AustralHSS0405.jpg

Blue and White Army
The cookie-cutter template is called the "Cosmos Jersey". Here's a close-up of the collar from the generic yellow and blue top:
Daniel
I notice Australia changed their logo from the "A" of the Association to the coat of arms.

keltic
The Australia shirts will have to be taken off Subside soon... Australia have switched to Nike so those kits will never be released. I work at a shop in London and we received them a couple of weeks ago, and though they are to be sent back to Adidas, I have seen the shirts in person, so I basically know what the Canadian shirts will be like because of this. This design is much nicer than the one used for the French, German, Spanish and Argentinian shirts and I can't wait to get a hold of one.
marcl_19
Yea i think i'll buy one when i go back to Canada rthis summer......where in the Dartmouth Halifax region could i get one? n e one from that area surf these boards?
redhat
I actually just bought the new Canuck jersey yesterday as I`m visiting Montreal this weekend. I got it at Evangelista Sports, at $99. (They may even have a web site.) It`s great, none of that "thong" problem with the other countries`, and there`s a small Canadian flag on the left sleeve. The Adidas tri-stripe is newly-stylized but made of that rubberized material rather than sewn-on. One of the best designs IMO.
Blue and White Army
I saw the away kit at Sports Mart in Pacific Centre Mall in Vancouver, but still have yet to see the home kit. #$%^!!! Can't say I like the rubber Adidas lines on the sleeves. If I wanted to wear rubber on my arms, I'd join some S&M club.
Blue and White Army
Well, the new home kit is finally on the CSA website for $99.95 Can't say I like the new kit much. Think I'll be sticking with the 2002-04 home kit. And what's with the "cannot ship to the United States" thing?
marcl_19
I like it!!! my impression was that the dark red part was gonna be black, but its good all the same
Blue and White Army
The Adidas lines on the sleeves are rubber, not fabric.... seems like some sort of S&M football.

nufc87
why did the CSA change the logo in the first place? we used to have a nice shield, that was in the 60's i think...if other FA's tried to change their logos the fans would be in an uproar...we didn't care (as per usual) now we have a stupid logo with a ball morphing into a maple leaf...how original...classic is best...and our logo is not timeless...also if you feel strongly about this why don't you drop a line to the csa and make a recomendation...we are the voice of Canadian Football supporters are we not? we probebly are the only group. so they'd be sure to lend an ear to our suggestions...we are buying the shirts!
