Rose has been excellent. It's a shame that she plays in the same position as our best player, though. Can she play elsewhere when Lawrence is back in the team?

WOW! That assist on goal #2. For sure, there has to be a place for Rose on the pitch when Lawrence returns.

That is the hope but let's not overhype her.

She has had two prior caps and didn't look quite as good during those two appearances.

Not a great first half. Brilliant 30 minutes after the break. Battling finish with a few players pushing through injury to preserve the result. Deserved win, in my books.

Sheridan's poor goal kick led to the first goal. She continued with poor goal clearances in the second half that led to good chances. Excellent shot stopper but her distribution needs work.

Rose is CB. So, she'll need to supercede Buchanan, Gilles and/or Zadorsky. Or she can play in front of them instead of Scott or Quinn.

Rose has always shown potential (2020 & 21 Youth Player of the Year) but like most young players, she hasn't shown to be a consistent performer. She looked okay but nothing special during Concacaf u20 qualifying. She looked lethargic during the u20 World Cup and her weaknesses were exposed such as easily being beaten on set piece headers by smaller players.

For the Matildas goal today, Kerr first slipped past Rose's tackle. Rose then chased after Kerr towards the edge of the box (along with Fleming) which left her out of position to have a chance to rush or block Fowler's shot.
